Welcome to The Farmhouse at Ten Barn Farm. Settle into a restored 1790 farmhouse on a peaceful organic farm. Original wide-plank floors, a gourmet kitchen, open fields, and a secluded saltwater hot tub under the stars make this stay a destination of its own. With Hudson and Chatham minutes away, it’s the ideal Upstate escape.

The space
This historic 1790 farmhouse sits at the heart of Ten Barn Farm, a 225-year-old working organic farm with ten original barns, open fields, and Fitting Creek winding through the property. Listed on the National Historic Register, the home is filled with character, hand-hewn wood floors, and surrounded by historic structures and land that has been lovingly tended for generations.

Guests are invited to explore the old barns designated as safe to wander, stroll the organic vegetable fields, and nap in the hammock beside Fitting Creek. The fieldstone patio overlooks grazing cattle and rolling hills, offering the perfect spot for morning coffee or a quiet sunset. Just steps away, the private saltwater hot tub provides a peaceful place to soak under the night sky. Throughout your stay, you may be able to experience our seasonal farm offerings—fresh eggs, vegetables, or a treat from The Kitchen at Ten Barn Farm, our seasonal on-site café.

Whether you’re walking the fields, picnicking by the water, or simply taking in the stillness of the land, this property offers a rare blend of nature, history, and grounded beauty.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the brand-new six-seat saltwater hot tub, installed in May 2023. It’s just steps from the back door yet tucked privately behind the oldest barn, offering a truly peaceful and secluded place to unwind. From the tub, you’ll see the 18th-century stone smokehouse and greenhouse to your right, open fields straight ahead, and the distant hillside where the sunsets glow and cattle graze. With no ambient light, the night sky is breathtaking.

You’re also welcome to explore many of the historic structures on the property—from the 200-year-old stone smokehouse to a massive barn where the light filters through the ancient clapboard in the most magical ways.
