The Space

I live in a brand new, stylishly decorated, one bedroom deluxe apartment in San Francisco. You would have the lounge area to yourself, on a super comfy new sleeper bed. Since I am a flight attendant and often away, you would most likely have the entire apartment to yourself, but when I'm around I am a great host and will gladly share all of my knowledge with you about this beautiful city. Bay-view is a 20-25 min ride on the T -line train to downtown San Francisco, and the stop is located literally outside my door. There are also buses that run 24 hours. My apartment has a full size kitchen, washer and dryer, cable, X-box 360, a 60 inch HD television set, and WiFi, all of which is yours to enjoy, along with a variety of cereals, coffee or tea for breakfast. The building itself is only two years old, and has twenty four hour security.
I live in a up and coming transitional neighborhood. There a few local grocery stores and restaurants in the area.
I have hosted over seventy satisfied guests from all over the world as part of the Airbnb and (website hidden) community, and love having people in my clean and comfortable home, a real haven, after a long exciting day in the city. Please take the time to carefully read though my ad and reviews. If you still have questions and/or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to hosting you in my home, thanks!

Guest Access

Guest will have access to the Living area(Private room),Kitchen,Bathroom,Patio, and courtyard area.

Interaction with Guests

If I am home, I'll be around, but will give you your privacy. Sometimes I hangout with guest. Since I am a flight attendant, I'm not home a lot, but always available by text, phone, or e-mail.

Getting around

Public Transportation is very easy. There is the MUNI(local train). The stop is literally in front of my building. It's the "T" line. The stop is Oakdale/Palou. The trains takes you directly downtown and takes about 30mins. There is the #24 bus that is across the street from my building. There is free street parking, but be mindful of the different street cleaning days. Takes you to the Castro area.

  • Marche apartment was very conveniently located with the T like subway just located infront of his apartment. The house was clean and spacious and we enjoyed our stay overall!

  • I booked this place by accident so didn't stay there so have no idea what it is like to stay there

  • The bed was comfortable. A few loud noises from outside (maybe 4th of July fireworks I hope!) were disturbing. But it's great I was able to book last minute with such a nice accommodating host.

  • As a first time airbnb user I couldn't have imagined a more seamless and accommodating experience! My husband and I were rounding out our 2 week trip through CA and didn't have any prior accommodation plans for our two night stay in SF. Marche was so accommodating and responded immediately as I attempted to book the stay 3 hours prior to arrival. He wasn't even in town at the time and called me right away to make sure we knew how to access the flat. We rented a car and parking for FREE on the side streets was a breeze. The neighborhood is a bit more urban than typical travelers might expect but we had no issues having lived in the city of Detroit for 7 years. We felt completely safe in the adorable complex and loved having coffee and reading in the morning in the open air court yard outside his flat.

Marche provides all the creature comforts of home and even allows you to help yourself to beverages and snacks on the house!

My only regret is that I didn't get to say a proper good bye and thank him personally for his hospitality. We met Marche once briefly upon his return from work one evening and after that we had the place to ourselves.

Marche is definitely a PRO when it comes to providing a comfortable stay. The fold out bed was very comfortable, even for two and we enjoyed relaxing in his gigantic bean bag chair in front of his 60 inch flat screen entertainment system.

The location is perfect for riding the MUNI anywhere in the city and he offers maps, restaurant recs and instructions for all the gadgets in the flat.

I would most def (email hidden) Châteaux du Marche for anyone visiting SF. It was the perfect end to a remarkable trip and we have Marche and his beautiful city to thank:)

A million thanks Marche! We will certainly look you up the next time we're in town!

    Peace and Love,
    Leah & Charlie

  • I think that the listing is accurate. Nice, clean comfortable space with the amenities you seek for travel. Marche was very responsive and accommodating, although he is not on site. The entry instructions were helpful and accurate. I had no problem getting in or with parking. Public transportation is right outside the main door. I would definitely revisit and recommend this listing to a friend.

    Thanks, Marche!

  • Apartment met our expectations in a great way. The apartment was clean and Marche had a gift basket waiting for us. Signs and instructions within the house were useful and welcoming. Also, Marche was easy to get in touch with and prompt to return any questions we had. Excellent entertainment system too. Being that we know very little about San Fran and didn't know what to expect from the neighborhood, it was little bit more industrial and slightly removed from our perception of a "downtown."

  • I just want to say: Marché I love you. I never had such a great hotel :-D. Yes! Better than all the 5 stars luxury Hotels because the Host is the best in the World :) Marché is such a funny and lovely person. We will never forget you and we are looking forward too meet him again to enjoy San Francisco.

  • Marche responds very promptly and is really friendly. The place is extremely clean, especially the kitchen, and the decor, even in the bathroom, reminds me of the fun and aura of travel around the world. Marche really wants to make you feel at home in San Francisco and has prepared recommendations and instructions to let you know how to use all the nice gear at his condo. It is truly a welcoming place and an oasis from the city that is still nearby: 20-25 minutes on the "T" Muni train from Market St or 4th & King to get here.

    Response from Marche:

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will work on the small details and make it more clear about the towels.

  • This was my first time visiting San Francisco, and I enjoyed staying at Marche's place(although I never actually met him)! He keeps the kitchen stocked with plenty of items that he allows the guests to take advantage. He is a flight attendant, so he keeps plenty of travel sized shots in the fridge, which I was happy to take advantage of! I also helped myself to some organic coconut water that he had in the fridge(there is a sign that says feel free to take advantage of anything in the kitchen). The neighborhood is a bit urban, but I had a great stay!

Thank you for the suggestions. I really appreciate them. I have instructions my book on the table for clean linen and pillow cases, but I will make it more clear for future reference.

About
I am a very outgoing individual and have a natural ability to connect with people very easily. I am very much a go with the flow kind of guy, am gay fun loving and easy going. Some of my hobbies are dancing, swimming, travel, going to the movies, and trying new foods. I love food btw;) I tend to be an open book, but don't blab about my personal life within a first meeting. Things should happen as naturally as breathing. One of my personal philosphy is having respect for others and myself. I'm not going to lie, but life is pretty amazing. My job is wicked cool, I have fantastic friends, an awesome home, and I get to travel for a living. Each day is a blessing and I am grateful for each and every one. I look forward to welcoming you into my world.
