Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Treskillard, on our smallholding, you will find this lovely Tractor shed, once home to the farmers' machinery and tools. Peace, greenery and bird song surround this detached, one bedroomed barn and the thoughtful simplicity of the barn's recently refurbished interior is welcoming, cosy and very charming.

The space
The barn has a well equipped kitchen with a two ring hob, a combination microwave/oven, a dishwasher and a fridge. The living space provides a generous dining corner and a comfortable sitting area for cosying down in front of the fire and watching TV.
The bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of storage space. The shower room has very generous proportions with a large walk in shower, toilet, heated towel rail and good size wash basin.

Time at The Tractor Shed can be as busy or as relaxed as one chooses. For keen walkers, you may have hit the jackpot as the Great Flat Lode is right on your doorstep, just one of the many mineral trails you can walk or cycle, taking you from coast to coast or simply for a few miles inland following the old trails of the mining industry. When the coast beckons head off to the sandy beaches of Portreath or Porthtowan, both just a 20 minute drive away, or further north head up to Chapel Porth where you will see even more evidence of this area of Cornwall's very rich mining history.

Where you’ll be

Redruth, England, United Kingdom

The immediate neighbourhood is now agricultural but the evidence of its former mining history lies in the beauty of the multiple engine houses nestled amongst the farms.
