A traditionally restored townhouse situated in the best possible location, with two bedrooms, quality linen, a kitchen, air conditioning, DVD and 2 private terraces, the house and terrace will be for your exclusive use.
Dar Al Waha's location makes it a perfect base to explore the UNESCO heritage listed medieval medina of Fes.
It is situated on the main street in the medina, in the vicinity of the famous Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) and surrounding restaurants, Medersa Bou Inania and the mysterious Water Clock and offers the best in self catering with markets brimming with fresh produce, all within a minute’s walk from home!
Dar Al Waha is a beautifully restored home that follows the traditional Arabian floor plan. There is a magnificent terrace over two levels, giving you fantastic views over the northern half of the medina, including the Merenid tombs, the northern Fort (Borj Nord) and surrounding ramparts. From here you can also watch the procession of medina life on the main street below, the way it has always been for over a thousand years.
We have included the creature comforts of top quality linen, western bathrooms, reverse cycle air-con and plentiful hot water to ensure your stay is like a home away from home.
The prices listed are for self-catering only.
Guests have exclusive access to a two tiered terrace with fantastic views of the medina
Convenience is everything in the medina. The complete absence of cars mean you can find everything you need within a short stroll from the house.

Very central Dar (apartment) in Fes. Nice to be along the main street and experience life as lived by the locals. The top ensuite bedroom was ideal for single or couple. Excellent linen for a good sleep.
L'appartement est magnifique,très bien équipé ,on se sent chez soi.Les deux terrasses sur le toit offrent une vue imprenable.Ben est très efficace,il nous a donné de précieuses informations qui nous ont facilité le séjour
This place was everything i expected and wanted. i stayed at this impressive private Oasis for 3 nights and it was fabulous. The location in the heart of the old city is ideal for everything (shopping, sight seeing, dining, etc.). You will be experiencing the real Fes. More importantly, I was pleased with the inside amenities of the place and its cleanliness. It is renovated and includes hot water, nice furniture, and a modern kitchen. These are important items for any visitor. The terrace provided the most stunning view of the old city from your own private space. Despite being in the middle of the city, it was surprisingly quiet after 9:00 PM and on weekends.
we, a family with two small children, stayed a week in this house and had a very good time. The house is located in the heart of the old city. It is a safe and lively part of town. It does mean that the living room that is facing the street does not get quiet until midnight, but both the bedrooms are quiet. These both have AC and very good beds so we slept well. The kitchen was not used much but has everything installed. There are two rooftop terraces with lights and plants which are fantastic. The place was clean. The house is very well suited for a family of four, or four adults as there are two good bathrooms. I would recommend this place, it provides also a good price / quality ratio compared with other accommodation that we had. Enjoy!
Dar Al Waha was everything as promised and a great value with a great location in the Medina. Ben and Angela -- our local contacts -- were available and helpful. Just be ready for a self-sufficient experience and you won't be disappointed!!!
didn't get a chance to meet Anthony however a private oasis it was. We loved every minute of our stay there, enjoyed the Terraces, enjoyed being right in the middle of the Medina, I could not say enough about the location and the accommodations. If you are going to Fes, this is the only place to be in.
Beautiful old home in the Fez Medina. Great location, very quiet, and very comfortable.

I have been travelling extensively to Morocco since 2005, and have a keen interest in medieval architecture, which is why I have undertaken the ambitious project of restoring two traditional properties, just off the main street in the UNESCO heritage listed Fes (sometimes spelt Fez) Medina. I want guests to have a thoroughly enjoyable time, enjoy their usual creature comforts whilst living in a medieval urban environment that hasn't changed for 1000 years. If you share that same sense of adventure, but you're maybe a bit over doing it rough, then my comfortable, well equipped and ideally located places are perfect for you.
