  • If you can stay here...do it! This place is fantastic. The location is amazing - the room is just adorable, and the bathroom is great. I met with Manuel (Marian's husband) who is the nicest man ever. He only spoke Spanish - but he spent a lot of time explaining the city to me, taking great care to tell me what areas to go to. I did everything he told me to, and had a great time. He made a nice and simple breakfast in the morning and then gave me an orange to take with me on the train (how nice).

  • Somehow staying with Marián and Mañuel has become one of the highlights of my trip. I felt warmly welcomed and accommodated during my stay. I enjoyed their beautiful home, relaxed in their garden, and on one occasion cooked with Marián and another guest. Mañuel was a great source of recommendations for local food and drink. All of which I would say hit the mark. Both are very knowledgeable and understandably very proud of Córdoba. I would easily recommend them to the traveller who is curious and open to a relaxed and apparently typical 'casa cordobesa'.

  • WARNING I 'm very disappointed and sad that my experience with Marian was very stressful and ruined my last three days of vacation in Spain. I received a text a few days before my reservation saying that there was "a problem with a pipe" and I would not be able to use the room. Although I would have shared the bathroom with all the other guests and family this seemed to only affect me. She said she had friends with a renovated house like hers nearby and that they could take me. I was to come to her house and she would take me over to see it. I thought I had no choice so I met at her house, she invited me to dine with her family and other guests since I had arrived tired and hungry at dinner time. This was all very nice until they took me to the place I was to stay at which turned out to be a "Backpacker Hostel" , the room was a prison size cell. I was nearly in tears (and I'm tough) so I said I would spend the night and talk to her tomorrow. After she left one of the owners (who were all very kind and understanding) offered to move me to a larger room with a bunk bed and large window which she said they would let me have alone. This was after we discovered the other room had only one electrical outlet at the far end of the room which would not reach the lamps. The next morning I called AirBnb who were very understanding ( who I should have called right away for help). This is my first time using them so I didn't know. It was too late for them to stop payment to Marian and they encouraged me to talk to her about refunding the difference in price (this place was much cheaper). When I talked to her she didn't think that was reasonable since I was now staying in a room for two she rationalized that it was more expensive than her place and I was getting a deal!!!! I spent the next two days trying to find her, pin her down to talk and finally getting her, with help from the owners of the Hostel to give me a partial refund. She couldn't understand that I didn't contract to stay at a noisy hostel full of young backpackers and it was not an equivalent replacement at all. It was clean and the room I ended with was comfortable and the ladies who ran it were all WONDERFUL. I would recommend it to anyone wanting that type of accommodations. I would NOT recommend Marian to anyone wanting somewhere dependable. She should have at the very least been the one to offer a full refund right away. Apparently this has happened before as she has said in her messages to me and I think she overbooks often. I cannot recommend this place at...

  • La casa es muy linda. Destaca, ademas, la ubicación, que es excelente. En un lugar muy bonito y accesible, en pleno centro historico y con muchos bares cerca (esto no afecta la tranquilidad de la casa). Recomendable.

  • I found the family very warm, sharing, and helpful. My room had a larger bed which I was grateful for vs. the photo on the site. The home and its history I found to be very interesting and very much enjoyed them sharing features about it. They location could not have been more perfect and everything that one would want to see in Cordoba is within an easy walk. I had to leave one day early due to some personal issues that arose and they could have not been more understanding.

  • I had a very pleasant stay at Marian & Manuel's house. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Marian gave me lots of information about the history and culture of the city which helped me to decide where to visit as I was only staying for a short while. The location is perfect for visiting the historical attractions such as the Roman Bridge and the Mosquita and is right next to the Julio Romero museum. I would highly recommend staying here in this very beautiful location.

  • Marian's house is just beautiful! Wish I could have had more time there. Very well located in the old city. Marian gives loads of great advice, maps and local knowledge on how best to see this beautiful city. Oh and breakfast is delicious! Highly recommended.
