About This Listing
My modern house is comfortable and welcoming with a homely feel. It is very clean and organised. It has 3 bedroom 2 of which have double beds and the third a single. There is a nice outdoor space also which is lovely on a sunny day!
My modern three bedroom town house is comfortable and welcoming with a lovely city garden. It is conveniently situated just a 10 minute drive from the city centre. NUIG, the beach and the main artery to stunning Connemara are also close by.
My town house will accommodate 5 people. It is located near the edge of the city as well as being convenient for the city centre. There is a lovely country walk just outside the door. Access to Connemara is very easy as are the lovely seaside villages of Barna and Spiddal.
I love Galway and will be very happy to share my love of the area with my guests. I will have loads of suggestions about what to do, where to eat etc.
I love the fact that my house offers easy access to the city and countryside. No trip to Galway is complete without a trip to Connemara to see the stunning scenery and small towns. The house is also within few minutes drive of Salthill promenade which is a lovely amenity in the city.
The whole house!
Interaction with Guests
I like to meet and welcome the guests if possible and answer any questions they may have. in any event I will be at the end of the phone at all times.
I love the fact that the house is only about 10 mins drive to city centre but that it is also very convenient to the beautiful area of Connemara. Within 3 minutes you can be on the main artery road to that stunningly beautiful area.
There is a bus stop about 10 mins walk away but a taxi to the city centre only costs around 12 euro which split between a group is almost as cheap as the bus and much more convenient. There is parking outside the house also.
Other Things to Note
The house is well equipped with all the essentials for cooking. Guests are welcome to use all the condiments and anything else they find in the cupboards!
The hot water system is via a gas boiler and is on a timed system. If all 5 guests are showering one after the other the showers need to be fairly quick (good for water conservation also!).
I would love if you can leave the house as you find it. Strictly no smoking in the house please.
Also I have very good neighbours so it is very important to me that they are respected so no parties please ! Thank you so much.
Emer was fantastic and accommodating. We had a fantastic time in her wonderful home. She was helpful and very proactive. Her communication was fantastic as well. The home was fantastic and spacious. We would stay again next time in Galway. Lovely place.
We had a lovely, two-night stay in Emer's spacious, clean apartment. Everything was just as pictured, and actually exceeded our expectations. The place is sunny, immaculate, and even has an outdoor space for morning coffee. Emer was totally accommodating on all levels, even graciously agreeing to host us on our requested dates, even though it meant a really quick turnaround for her when we left. She replied immediately and effectively in advance, and answered any and all questions that arose. She even offered suggestions on what to do on our way from Dublin to Galway, and places to see while we were there, and left us with some basic staples in the fridge. The location of the apartment was perfect for us -- about a 20 minute walk (downhill on the way there) to the city center, and about a 10 euro taxi ride back. Highly highly recommend!!
Emer was an excellent host - leaving us with all the information we needed for a stress free visit. The house was fantastic - so comfortable, clean and with lots of natural light. All bedrooms were great - lots of room and very comfy. Also was close enough that we could walk into town (about 40 mins walk) and see the sights along the way.
Even though we had the home to ourselves and Emer wasn't there when we arrived, she had left us a hand written note as well as some goodies in the fridge and cabinets. The home was just as described and served as a wonderful place for us to stay for 2 days! I wish we could have stayed longer!
Emer is a wonderful hostess, asking us EVERY SINGLE DAY, by email, how she could help us and if we enjoy our stay.
I have learned that a GPS is absolutely necessary to find the house even though it's a few km away from downtown Galway, the road and streets indications panels being deficient in Ireland.
