The space
Restored to a more modern interior (yet still has the typical Karoo outside). The cottage sleeps two people with ample space to enjoy the complimentary bottled water, juice and coffee/tea. The cottage is delicately decorated with hand picked pieces and includes an open plan bedroom, en-suite bathroom, kitchen area and a lounge. The beautiful glass doors open to the gardens with a view of the Barrydale valley and mountain range. Take time out to relax on the shady veranda on our vintage bench.
Gated parking available, including safe entry for bikes.
The cottage is within walking distance to footpaths, restaurants, small town shops and the R62.

Where you’ll be

Barrydale, Western Cape, South Africa

The village of Barrydale is situated on the scenic R62 in the
Overberg region in the Western Cape, South Africa, known for its wine routes, dried fruit and the Tradauw Pass.
The R62 was voted one of the top ten best road trips in the world by CNN Travel.
This route meanders through the Little Karoo with very characteristic seasons as can be seen in the beautiful succulents and wild flowers which adorns this region.

Our House and Cottage are situated together, yet private. In May 2018 we started with the renovation of an old ‘nagmaal huisie’ (historical cottage used for a sleep over by farmers of yesteryear to attend Holy Communion) as well as the additional building situated on the same land. We are now proud to present the newly released House or Cottage (or both).
