This condo was in a great location in the Entertainment District! If you are flying in/out of Pearson and by yourself I would recommend Airport Express as its cheaper then taking a cab on your own. Right outside the building you get a great view of CN Tower! We walked everywhere including Chinatown, Distillery District, Yorkville, etc. Down the street was a bunch of bars, clubs and even Second City Comedy. We rented a car for one day to go to Niagara Falls and that location was close by too. The condo itself is spacious with modern amenities and everything you need to cook (if you want.) Being 2 tourists from America it was the perfect location to explore Toronto (even go to a Blue Jays game.) The condo is comparable to a nice hotel (The Hyatt is down the street and much more expensive) with a huge swimming pool, jacuzzi, and great fitness center. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Norris was great at communicating with us on check in, was flexible on check out time, and wifi worked great in the condo. Also appreciated having cable since we were able to watch Wimbledon. Yes there are some marks on the wall based on a previous post but that certainly didn't bother our stay. Also the outdoor balcony was so relaxing with multiple chairs, even a plug so we can be on our devices. Great view of the city. Thank you for letting us stay here!
This apartment is fantastic and exactly what we needed for five days in Toronto - thank you Norris for being a superstar host, extremely responsive and accommodating at every opportunity. The place was clean, the amenities rival a five star hotel (and we felt free to take advantage of the pool, gym, sun deck...), and the bed was comfortable and the apartment well appointed. Would not hesitate to recommend it to any business traveller looking for something more self-sufficient than a hotel, in a great location with a fantastic restaurant in the building. Thank you thank you!
Disappointed. Initial observation included numerous scuffs/marks to the entry walls. Living/kitchen area revealed questionable cleaning service as there were finger prints on glass surfaces, chrome areas, oven panel, etc. The exterior kitchen cabinets were notably dirty from across the room. I wasn’t disappointed by the dorm Ikea like furniture (it was pictured). I was however turned off by multiple stains on the futon as well as unknown residue on the bar stool. Like the entrance, the bedroom walls had much scuffing and what appeared to be possibly food on the wall directly above the bed. The bathroom appeared to be the cleanest/nicest aspect of the condo. As others mentioned, nice shower. Warning ladies: hair dryer is the smallest travel size I’ve ever seen. I looked everywhere & finally found it in the medicine cabinet – yep, that small. Needless to say, it was not designed for long hair. Seriously, I gave up. Many towels had significant staining -- 2 which my BF flat out refused to touch. Dishes/knives & the coffee pot were dirty with water stains & dried on food. Perhaps it's just me, but I questioned an empty Kleenex box on the nightstand… and then questioned all the dust around it when I picked it up and saw the rectangular shape left behind. Dust throughout the condo made us think it had been sitting empty a while. Building amenities were as expected appearance wise. I guess I expected the condo to match. We had hoped to catch a movie in the media room & clarified with lobby staff time/location. Staff were friendly & encouraged us to go. Unfortunately, they were unaware of apparent cancelation so we landed up wasting prime time waiting & passing on alternative options to ultimately discover such from a tenet. We notified Norris our concerns about overall cleanliness & condition. He responded quickly by bringing over new towels and offered to have the condo cleaned. I initially felt bad because he said he was coming to clean the condo himself vs hiring cleaning service to make sure it got done right. In hindsight I'm wondering if there actually is a cleaning service ??? He checked in the next day re: satisfaction / needs. I again expressed disappointment in overall condition. He told me the walls are slated to be painted this summer (not sure what that has to do with me paying to stay in May???) & that the walls along with the stained futon were out of his control & "only practical to replace in a timely manner." He text he was sorry I was bothered by appearance & commented “despite the aesthetic unpleasantness of your situation, I do believe you are getting exceptional value for your money.” Umm… perhaps if the money were much less ???
I would recommend this condo to someone that doesn’t really care about appearance/cleanliness and just wants short stay based on location to take a shower & sleep – but not long, the bed is not comfortable.
Crystal, it was unfortunate that you felt so disappointed with your stay. While you are the first guest to raised such strong negative concerns about the condition of my place, I do welcome the feedback and will work to address them.
Regarding the content of your review:
The walls, yes, aesthetically unpleasing if you are bothered by luggage marks on white walls. This was your biggest and primary concern and is unfortunate I wasn't able to paint them prior to your arrival. I feel however, this does not affect the comfort, security, or hygienic aspects of my condo, which you did not raise any concerns with. Hence, my "exceptional value" comment.
The other things that was selectively raised with me, seem to have taken on some artistic and creative exaggeration in your review. Especially when I re-cleaned cleaned all the utensils, knives, surfaces in the unit before you got to use them.
You failed to mention the fact that I offered to have everything cleaned the same night while you were out, within hours of your check in. I did leave my 2 young children at night, drove 1 hour, to get to the condo and bring brand new towels within hours of you contacting me. You also failed to mention that I've tried several times (with no response back) to ask how else I can help to make things better for your stay. Had you responded and told me how uncomfortable you felt staying there (which never came up), I would have made other arrangements for your final few nights.
While I am truly sorry that you felt so negatively about your stay, I feel your whole complaint to be a little disingenuous and you went out looking for the smallest signs of "dirt" to make your case. Selectively quoting my texts to you as "evidence" also feels a little dubious.
Nevertheless, I do appreciate the feedback and I will be more vigilant of these things next time.
This condo in the entertainment district of Toronto was exactly as described - and provided a fantastic base for me during my stay in the city. Spacious, clean, bright, well-equipped, very nicely furnished and decorated, this was a fabulous place to stay - way better than your average hotel room. I'd never been to Toronto and the location was ideal. Situated on Kings and minutes away from Queen Street, the two main arteries of the city, it made getting around extremely easy using street cars, trains, buses as well as having so much literally on the doorstep. Norris was great throughout - from easy early communication through to very clear communications close to and on arrival. He also was swift to communicate in response to a query whilst I was actually in the condo. Made life very easy. In terms of the accommodation itself, location and host - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as an ideal place to stay in Toronto.
We found this airbnb experience a wonderul one. We came into Toronto and found the lovely condo in the vibrant downtown King Street West area of Toronto. It is an extraordinary area, with lots of restaurants, ease of transportation and a wonderful urban vibe. The condo was located a few blocks from the subway, right on a streetcar line. The condo was very clean and as described was on the 32nd floor with an extensive view of the Toronto skyline. Norris was a receptive host, providing us with lots of information including a list of new restaurants in the Toronto area. And of particular note for me was the wonderful fitness area/pool which was well maintained. I would like to note how easy it was to check in with Norris providing a step-by-step process for retrieving the key and following up to make sure we were well established int the condo. I would recommend the venue highly and would stay there again when we next go to Toronto.
We had a fantastic stay at Norris's apartment. Great location, all the necessary amenities. Norris is a great host and promptly responded to all messages and gave clear instruction. We'd stay again!
Our stay in Norris' appartment was very nice. Norris was very kind in all the email exchanges. It was very easy to check-in. The appartment was clean, and as nice as on the pictures. The view (32th floor) is really nice. This is very well located in Toronto (btw lots of restaurants around). We really enjoyed the swimming pool. Thanks very much Norris.
Great apartment. Everything was very well-appointed, clean, and convenient. Check-in very flexible and convenient. Would try to stay here again next time I am in Toronto.
I attended a conference that was hosted at Sheraton Central Hotel, and my husband accompanied me. Celebrity Luxury Condo A++ was the perfect downtown location for our purpose. One day it was spring; another day it was winter, which returned with its sharp, icy claws offering us a blizzard. However, from Norris’ apartment it is a two-minute walk to the entrance to the underground PATH. What a relief and pleasant way to walk during days of inclement and/or freezing weather.
The apartment is on the 32nd floor of a 40+ story high-rise building as described on the Airbnb website. We enjoyed the apartment and its central location very much –we could not have chosen better. The apartment was sparkling clean and well supplied. Norris’s communication and instructions were clear and professional.
This apartment building has state of the art facilities including a gym and a swimming pool on the 11th floor. The key to the apartment opens any shared space, including the elevators, in the building. So, one can mingle in the building like an owner. In the building we saw young professionals (this is how they appeared), and I imagined how different their lives are compared to ours when we were young.
People build living spaces and the spaces shape and transform people. Renting apartments gives one the opportunity to taste another lifestyle for a short period of time. We had breakfast in the apartment and washed our clothes in the wonderful Miele washer/dryer that gave us the feeling of being home.
Walking distance from Norris’ apartment are fabulous restaurants. We had delicious meals at Big Daddy’s Bourbon Street Bistro and Oyster Bar and Rodney’s Oyster House.
I learned a lot not only by attending the conference, but also by visiting Toronto, strolling its streets, China town, Kensington Market, and seeing its wonderful museums: the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
We highly recommend this apartment.
