  • For my first time using Airbnb, I don't think I could have picked a better family & place to stay with. Ying, Sherry, and their family are some of the most wonderful people I've met in a long time. The house and room are both spectacular and secluded, and is located within easy walking distance of El Camino Real and the many attractions there. I really cannot say enough good things about them other than to say that I can't imagine a better place to stay in Palo Alto, whether it's for a week or longer, and if their place is available I would tell all of you to book it immediately, that's how great my experience was.

The shared bathroom was big, well lit, and has a wonderful shower and tub, and sharing it with their daughters presented no issues whatsoever in terms of timing and availability either morning or night. They have a wonderful cruiser bike available for rental, which I took full advantage of during my stay to explore the surrounding area. The house rules are well delineated and are very easy to follow for someone who is a working professional such as myself, the wi-fi is great, and there is a small refrigerator for use in the room as well. Sherry recommended several wonderful places nearby to eat, and I throughly enjoyed my stay with her, Ying, and her family.

  • Great place and location. The place was exactly as described. Would stay here again! Also great hosts and very easy to communicate with.

  • I stayed 2 full months with Sherry and her family, and I couldn't say enough wonderful things about this time! The room was spacious, the private entrance was wonderful to have so I could come and go as needed. I had plenty of privacy, but every time I spoke with someone from the family, they were very friendly and welcoming and ensured my stay was exceeding expectations. The house rules were very reasonable and not an issue to follow, and although the bathroom is shared, I never had any issues with sharing.

If you are spending any time in the Silicon Valley area and want a worry-free, hassle-free experience, stay here! I know if I get back out there, I'll consider staying here before looking anywhere else!

    Thanks again Sherry!

  • Very pleasant.

  • Beautiful grape arbor side entrance - we felt like we had our own private garden and room. Nice architecture, especially the garden-view high-ceiling bathroom and vanity. Our hosts were very flexible with arrival hours and schedules.
Easy access to Stanford and freeway.
The only downside is that bathroom is shared with the hosts' teen daughter, whose bedroom is between the AirBNB bedroom and the shared bathroom.

  • My second stay at Ying and Sherry's place, as great as the first. A very comfortable room, quiet and good looking.
Nothing to say except I just felt like home!

  • Sherry is a perfect host, always willing to help you feel at home, with a welcoming and respectful family!
It was my first visit in the Silicon Valley, and I had a wonderful time staying in a very comfortable room, enjoying the delicious smell of orange trees every morning and the beautiful neighborhood.
I recommend Sherry's place, and would be pleased to come back in a future trip to Palo Alto!

  • Very clean with a private entrance. Quiet household as well. Make sure you read the house rules as there are a few particulars that are important, especially if you have long days at the office.

  • What a great place to stay. Super quiet, clean and cozy.
I stayed 3 nights, had full privacy and enjoyed every minute.
Couldn't ask for anything more, and I will definitely come again when visiting Palo Alto.

  • I didn't like that place very much. I was moved there because there because my original choice was in repair. However, my hosts have been adorable and the neighbourhood is beautiful.
