Staff was great. Room had no fan or air conditioning, but for the cost it was fine. You are not staying at his house. IT is a large area with a number of small cabins

Response from Andrew:
It actually is my house Eli, I lived onsite for 10 years and for 7 of those 10 years it was my private family home and retreat. It's still our Osa home when we are in Puerto Jimenez. It was a perfect environment to work from and raise a family. Super close to airport. So when people stay at la Chosa they are staying in my home which has since been converted to a small collection of rooms scattered throughout 1.5 hectares of gardens, forest and mangrove, but unless you rent Casa Manglar, Monkey Hut, Kinkajou Hut ot Toucan Hut you won't have the opportunity of viewing our private residence. When we state in the announcement that it's a small cabin we mean it's a small cabin and not our home. (we checked the fan in the cabin and it seems to be working now, but sorry about any inconvenience). The cabin is an economic option to enjoy the same property as our house but without wallet grief. Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

La Chosa del Manglar was perfect for our needs; it is close to town but doesn't feel urban. We got to see white faces capuchin monkeys, all manner of crabs and birds, and an opossum. The owner, Andrew, is fluent in English and Spanish and directed us toward all the highlights of …

Sorry folks, no cabins with A/C but the Palapa Hut, Classic & Deluxe rooms and Casa Manglar with its 3 suites all offer A/C. FYI the price points are a bit higher though.

I stayed in this hotel for one night, and did not meet Andrew, but I had a great time. The staff was helpful, and the air conditioning felt righteous. Would definitely recommend.

LA Chosa De Manglar was amazing! The place is incredible, it feels like you are in the jungle with the amount of animals that are there. The place is unique for the area. My boyfriend and I spent one month there and enjoyed every minute. I would recommend at least spending 2-3 …
