Beautiful views, a very nice and quiet home. Very close to Clarkdale or Cottonwood.
We enjoyed the time there felt very comfortable. Thank you
Well Jim, I have to say to you that that is interesting feedback from someone who asked to stay two nights in our home, yet couldn't bother to post any personal information in your profile even though you have been a member since 2009!. Then, after I pointed that out to you and spent a fair amount of time re-opening the calendar so that you could apply again, you misrepresented who would be staying here at the cost to us of $20.00 for the weekend. Then you couldn't bother to let us know when you would be arriving and didn't respond to a voice message left for you during your four hour drive up from Tucson. When I called you a second time, you apparently didn't care enough to alter your plans for dinner even though you must have gotten the message that something wasn't going right. When you arrived you had very little to say about that except that you thought you told me that you would arrive around 6 PM. Then in the morning you inform me about your dietary preferences and that you don't know how to boil an egg; and would I scramble some for you. I've stayed at several Airbnb's and never had breakfast provided for me even once! You seemed to feel very entitled to the breakfast of your choosing and wondered if I was going to make your bed! And, now you suggest to me that I should have written down some rules for you that address breakfast with a few choices that you could request in advance, so I didn't buy too much in advance. I think you have some pondering to do about who you think you are! You are very fortunate to have the spouse that you do. I was about to suggest that you find a hotel for Saturday night when she compensated for you. I think they would have better met your expectations! Read the other feedback we have received and then maybe ask yourself if you might have some reflection due.
It was the best thing I could do, to start my Arizona adventure at Janet's and bills wonderful home. They were so nice, decent, and inviting, I felt at home right away. The room is beautiful the bed soft and the welcome glass of wine made me sleep like a baby and i woke up without jet lag. Thank you for the interesting and deep conversations. My first airbnb experience was amazing.
Bill and Janet were fantastic hosts. We had an excellent first Airbnb experience! The accommodations were superb, location was ideal with a spectacular view of the Verde River Canyon. We felt very comfortable during our two night stay. Thank you for your restaurant recommendations. What a way to start an Arizona vacation! Thanks so much, Susie and Kathy!
What an overall wonderful stay we had with the Regners and the true family star, Dusty Rose, their three year old fun-loving, good-natured poodle mix.
Bill knows how to cook a great breakfast with leeks and green onions from their garden. Both Janet and Bill are wine experts and love to share their 'Special Two-Buck Chuck' wine with their guests.
Our guess is that Bill will be 'Mayor of Clarkdale' before our next visit to Arizona.
The house was beautiful, airy and new. We recommend a stay with the Regners, if you plan to visit Sedona, Prescott or the Grand Canyon, like we did.
Thank you Phil and Maria. We, too, enjoyed your visit. We may well be wine experts of the two buck chuck range and content to be so! Glad you enjoyed the breakfast, house, and our beautiful Verde Valley. For the record, Dusty Rose is a Pudlepointer which is actually a breed. Not a very well known breed we admit, but a breed none the less. Yes, she is the true family star. Thank you for your generosity in sharing the wines you acquired on your trip. We will share them with some special friends. We enjoyed the conversations and the opportunity to meet two bright, inquisitive, and engaging new friends.
What a wonderful, relaxing home!
The view of the Verde River is beautiful! There are ample sites for hiking and outdoor activities.
Cottonwood is very close. There are restaurants, shops and two wineries (with tasting rooms) in town. The people are warm & friendly, eager to share a recommendation for dinner, etc.
Bill and Janet are wonderful hosts. We felt as though we were friends from our first evening. Bill provided us with much of the history of the area, the variety of wildlife and plant life in the area and great recommendations for restaurants, "adventures" and overall fun.
The highlight of our trip was the morning snowfall and subsequent hike around the river with Bill and Janet. It was quiet, serene and beautiful!
Bill and Janet have a wonderful dog, Dusty Rose. She is well-mannered and affectionate. She was a true canine ambassador for them!
Breakfast was included - continental style- with the most amazing tea blend.
Conversation was abundant, wide-ranging and thoroughly enjoyable.
This is our third AirBnB experience and it was one of the best!
We highly recommend a visit to the Regners' home. You definitely will not be disappointed.
I cannot say enough nice things about our stay with Janet & Bill. We enjoyed talking with them about the area and getting their suggestions on spots we should hit up. Bill even led us on a hike along the Verde river with their awesome dog, Dusty. Their home is lovely and has a fantastic view of the Verde Valley (including Tuzigoot National Monument).
The location is great with Jerome about 15 minutes away and Sedona less than a 30 minute drive. If you're like us, though, you'll probably find yourselves comfortable staying right on the back patio soaking in the surroundings.
We'd definitely go back!
An amazing location. A beautiful house. A lovely dog. Janet and Bill made me feel at home since the very first moment. Genuine, gracious, attentive and respectful. I loved our conversations and the time spent together and I felt honored to be their first guest.
My staying was really a special experience and I’m looking forward to going back.
