About this listing
Our home in Venice gave us a lot of pleasure from the day we bought it. We enjoyed it very much to modify and restructure the curious high entrance room and the low corridor, to hide the garret and to place the beautiful waterwindow right at the canal. We made the furniture by ourselves of solid wood and painted the bathroom in beautiful matching colors. Now that the house is ready we enjoy passing some time there every now and then, to feel at home in the friendly neighborhood, visit the Biennale and walk around in the city. To stay in a comfortable and beautiful house hidden in a narrow lane behind a lively square is a real pleasure, and we hope you may enjoy it the way we do.

It was nice having our morning coffee by the big window facing the canal every morning. Great location close to the major attractions of the city, yet isolated from the touristy areas so we had a very quiet and local feel in Venice. We just wished there was wifi and air conditioning as it was extremely hot (this was mid July)!
We really liked this apartment! Very personal, beautifully located next to a canal. The water window is fantastic and we spent both our nights having wine next to that window and felt pretty much no need to leave to go out for dinner. Yes the apartment may have a bit of a smell but thats the price to pay to be able to stay in such an amazing, historical location.
Charming apartment in a good location within walking distance to St Mark's Square. Kitchen is well stocked, and was perfect for the evenings we decided to stay in and cook. Washer and dryer was really useful too. We loved the water window, it was the highlight of our stay and we spent much times drinking wine and chilling in that cozy area.
Fittings are a bit old but adds to the charm. The ceilings are lower than usual so if you are 1.9m (6'3) or taller you will bump your head on some things like my husband did. Shouldn't be a problem for most people though!
My biggest gripe is the lack of wifi. We were directed to the bar nearby but one can't possibly loiter there every night. Also, one morning I'm sure the bar staff turned off the wifi after noticing us standing nearby for 5 minutes. And we had been customers, having bought food and drinks there before!
Would recommend staying here, but be prepared to look for wifi locations elsewhere.
We were met as arranged and all went smoothly. It is a nice quiet area away from the crowds around San Marco with a bar just a few metres away. The bar had internet access and was a great place to sit and enjoy the locals.
Attila's house is brilliant! It's 10minutes' walk from S. Marco square, and it's also easy to find some good restaurants nearby. We have no time to find the supermarket and it seems that everything is more expensive on the island than that in the other parts of Italy. So it is better to prepare everything you need before the arrival of Venice. And the window is just nearby the narrow canal，which is really nice！
Everything was fantastic! Beautiful neighborhood, great bar close-by and that WINDOW, it was awesome to just sit, relax and watch the boats go by.
