Great weekend spent here!! Really good location and the house is amazing, I could not have asked for a better place to stay over the long weekend. A stones throw from the main street and all that Cork has to give, and Anne and her wonderful family made us feel very welcomed. Great local knowledge and an easy going attitude made for a very relaxed yet efficient weekend. We loved it!
Anne and Graham have a lovely home in which we were instantly feeling at home. The house itself is very quiet, even though it's only just off the main streets in Cork. We can definitely recommend staying here for anyone who wants to explore and experience Cork with the excellent tips and suggestions from some locals like Anne amd Graham. The only small minus point is availability and scratch card system of parking, but this is more the fault of the city than anything else
Thank you Marteen for your great review, we are fortunate to be able to park for free outside the front door 6pm to 830am in the morning and for any period long term, you are welcome to park in our own back yard and this of course is free.
Many thanks again, all the best Anne
It was a pleasure to stay at Anna's place. The location is exceptional. Close to the city centre, full of nice restaurants around but in a quiet area. I suggest a walk to the UCC, this traditional university is beautiful with many young and polite people, a beautiful park and historic buildings. Anna's place is a Victorian house with a nice garden. The room is located in a quite part of the house and you will have your privacy. The room is very cosy with an excellent bed and dedicated bathroom. I would love to stay again here.
Thanks to Anne's son for the amazing, fresh eggs and exceptional hospitality.
The home was a unique old Georgian home, definitely a cool experience to stay in. The location was only a 5-10 minute walk to all the goings-ons in Cork, but still out of the hustle and bustle. Anne and her family were all very nice and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely stay :)
I'd like to thank you Anne, Graham and Rory, their son, for this warm welcome I had in their lovely home. I felt immediately like in my own home. They are very nice and take care of everything for you. They live within 10 minutes by walk from the center (St Patrick's street) and will help you to decide what to do in Cork and the countryside. Breakfast is included and you will taste the eggs from their own chickens!
If I come back to Cork, I will surely come back to their home. Thank you again!
Anne and her family were very welcoming immediately upon my arrival. Their attention to detail with the accommodations and knowledge of the surrounding area made the trip that much more enjoyable. The neighborhood location was set just off from the downtown area of Cork. No more than a few minute walk for good food, shopping, or what have you. I would highly recommend staying with Anne and her family at their residence.
Anne and Grahame have a beautiful house and welcomed us into it in such a hospitable way that we were made to feel immediately at home. They and their son were really friendly and accommodated our various requests, questions, etc. with ease and good grace.
The house is centrally located just off the busier main streets and very convenient for activities in the city centre and the University.
The room we stayed in was very comfortable, warm and quiet with great views over the city, and came with an adjacent bathroom for our sole use.
Breakfast was included and I was able to use their incredibly well-appointed kitchen for cooking in the evenings when needed.
I had a very busy schedule whilst in Cork and was able to relax and enjoy the evenings in their house as if it were my own. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
