Indoor fireplace
This is one of a few places in the area that has this feature.
A historic De Waterkant beauty perfectly located equidistant to the inner city, the Waterfront and the beaches. There are dozens of restaurants, coffee shops & bars a (literal) stone's throw away.
This 19th century cottage is very spacious and beautifully decorated and provides exceptional comfort with all modern amenities.

Amenities include uncapped high speed internet, parking, a rooftop deck with a pulley system for serving drinks, satellite TV & a fireplace.

The space
This charming terrace cottage is situated on a private road of six cottages with a security gate. It is short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, but away from traffic, restaurant and bar noise.
A tiny playschool is a close neighbor at the front of the house and during weekdays at break time the sound of kids playing can be heard from only the front room of the house - never a issue for those who are in Capetown to see the sights during the beautiful day light hours.
Private, secure parking situated just outside the house - please note the space is tight so more suited to smaller cars. Alternative street parking and car parks very close by.

Guest access
Guests will be given their own set of keys and have the house to themselves.

Other things to note
Other things to note:
**IMPORTANT NOTE**:

Cape Town (and South Africa) is in the midst of a severe drought. Please be cautious and conservative with water use.

Some small things that each individual can do to help:
-Keep Showers as short as possible.
-Turn off the taps when not actually using the water (ie while brushing teeth, shaving, soaping up, washing hair or dishes.)
-While heating up the water, collect excess in a bucket/bowl and use for cleaning.
-Make sure you put a full load into the washing machine and dishwasher before starting a wash cycle.

Location

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

De Waterkant is a sub-district of the suburb of Green Point. An extremely central location tucked between Table Mountain, the bustling city centre and the prestigious V&A Waterfront; and neighboured by the historically coloured district of Bo-Kaap (in truth, De Waterkant is a modernised rendition of the Bo-Kaap).
The mixed Georgian, Cape Dutch and Asian colourful architecture, cobbled streets and historical standing is what makes De Waterkant so unique. The bright, 18th century cottages offer authentic ‘local’ living, nestling on the lower slopes of Signal Hill overlooking Table Bay.
De Waterkant is often described as being arty, charismatic and quaint and is a truly special place decorated with gorgeous al fresco restaurants, sidewalk cafés, boutique shops and bars; and is also home to the Cape Quarter shopping mall (all within walking distance).
It is often compared with Greenwich Village in New York.
