  • The stay was great! Matthew (and family) was really helpful and nice, and prepared such helpful materials that really allowed us to find our way around the neighbourhood. The apartment was also well equipped and really nice to live in :)

  • We were 3 people staying in Matthew's apt. Although we never met in person, communication was always great. He was reachable and helpful. The apt felt like our home during our stay of 3 nights. It was clean and in a safe neighborhood. Location was very close to Manhattan, and the G line was just on the same block. It was very accessable every time of day. Some people can find the bedroom a little bit noisy, it didn't bother us much and that's NY! The 2nd bedroom had access to the rest of the apt through the other bedroom, but it was never a problem for us at all. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apt and Matthew.

  • This was our second time staying here and, like the first, it was terrific. Unit is spacious, well-kept, in a safe neighborhood, and right on top of the G line. L line subway also isn't too far of a walk. Greenpoint and Williamsburg are filled with great things to do.

Matthew is a most hospitable host - the fact that we went back speaks for itself.

  • We really enjoyed our time in Matthews place. The host provided us with lots of information about Brooklyn, the immediate area and detailed tips for good eating places and bars. Everything was right as described:) They even welcome you with a nice basket of treats and snacks so you really can focus on getting out and explore the city right away.
Great place to be in Brooklyn.

  • Matthews apartment was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I stayed there for an entire month and found the apartment to be ideal. It had every comfort of home! Matt was very friendly and always available if I had any questions. I felt right at home. Other reviews mentioned a problem with street noise, but I didn't have that problem.

I absolutely fell in love with Greenpoint, which is the neighborhood the apartment is located in. It is full of nightlife and delicious restaurants. The residents of the neighborhood are all very kind and friendly. The subway is a mere 3 or 4 yards away and the bus picks up right across the street. This is a commuters dream location. The East River Ferry is a lovely ride to Manhattan and picks up a few blocks away. The pier is beyond beautiful at night, with a city view that cannot be beat. I ate my dinner out there several nights.

I would love to stay in Matt's apartment on future trips to New York City. It really did begin to feel like home.

  • I would definitely recommend staying here ... Matthew provided everything you could think of. On late notice he even came to meet us and show us around the apartment earlier than we had initially arranged.

The subway is right around the corner, as well as a ferry stop nearby, and there are a plethora of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

We had a most enjoyable time exploring NYC using Matthew's apartment as our base.

  • Our stay in Matthew's apartment was truly wonderful. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome, and at home. Matthew left us with several restaurant recommendations, and every one we went to was incredible! Greenpoint is really spoiled for choice when it comes to food.
Despite the hot weather, the apartment was always cool thanks to two air conditioners and plenty of fans!
The G train is about a 2 minute walk away, so Manhatten is easily accessible (although I'd really recommend eating in Greenpoint as much as you can).
Thank you, Matthew, for your wonderful apartment, it was exactly what we wanted, and more!

  • I loved staying here! Matthew was a wonderful host -- great communication and very accommodating. The apartment was very clean and very spacious -- even bigger than what the photos show, I thought. I loved the neighborhood so much -- walking distance to everything you need and right on the G train too. My stay was perfect and I would definitely stay at Matthew's place again!

  • Place was great! Very comfortable, clean and spacious. Matt really takes care of his place and it's fully equipped for your visit to NY. The Brooklyn location (filled with an even balance of local nightlife and grocery stores) was a huge advantage to seeing the many sites NY has to offer. The street noise was not an issue at all, so there was no need to use the ear plugs that were readily available. It's important to take note that we brought along our 10 month old, who slept well thru the night. Parking was also a breeze, which Matt was helpful with as well.

    Goodtimes.
