Fall asleep in the comfy queen bed in the main bedroom to the sounds of the waves lapping the shore.

Nanna naps allowed!
  • Fisherman's Paradise - Kurrimine Beach
  • We love settling down on the large comfy sofa with all the kids to watch a movie at the end of the day!

There is something about sea air that makes children "nod off" early. I can't tell you how many times our kids have fallen asleep here!
  • The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a family getaway. There is even a second fridge in the laundry should you need more room! If cooking is not your thing, there are 3 dining out/takeaway options.
  • This 2 bedroom beach house is set up for families. Our second bedroom has room for your children and a couple of friends!
  • We love fishing and the Kurrimine Fishing Haven has everything you need for a family fishing trip - fishing magazines, charts, fish charts, green zone maps, filleting knife, fish cleaning table, boat washing gear oh and plenty of room for a boat!
  • Kurrimine Beach is a fisherman's paradise - whetjer you are in to beach, reef or creek fishing with have every option right on our doorstep!
  • King Reef is only 800m offshore and perfect if spearfishing is your thing. Go for a morning dive and enjoy a couple of our famous King Reef Cray on the BBQ for dinner!
  • Our main living area is bright and comfortable. We have a large screen TV and a DVD and BlueRay Player. There is a selection of books and magazines and a small selection of DVDs.
  • We are a short (300m) stroll to Kurrimine Beach. Sunrise is my favourite time and you can stroll towards the mouth of Maria Creek and believe that you are the only person in the world.
  • King Reef is part of the Great Barrier Reef and is heritage listed. It is also only 800m from the beach. During the winter months on tides lower 0.4m we can actually walk out to explore the reef. This is an experience not to be missed!
  • Kids love exploring the rock pools on low tide
  • Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils. The large pot at the back is our favourite as it mean we have caught mud crabs for dinner!
  • So you've been fishing all day, had fresh fish or mud crabs for dinner. The kids have fallen asleep early, what more could you want? To make a cocktail from our recipe book and put your feet up perhaps!
  • Kurrimine Beach has a large swimming pool and water park. This is about a 5-minute walk from the Fishing Haven.

The park runs two sessions a day - 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm and costs just $5 per person.
  • Hire one of these bikes from the Kurrimine Beach Holiday Park and take your family for a ride along the beachfront track.

At just $10 per hour we reckon this offers great value family fun.
  • Close to water park
  • Our bathroom has a vanity and a walk-in shower with a separate toilet.

We provide toilet paper, hand soap and shampoo and conditioner. There are bath towels, hand towels and bath mats.
  • We have recently renovated our bathroom and love our new tiles. We hope you do too! The water pressure here is great, perfect for washing off sandy bodies!
  • Our laundry is on the back veranda, we know what it is like holidaying with kids so there is always plenty of washing powder and a supply of pegs.

Oh yes, don't worry about packing beach toys, as you can see we have everything covered!
  • We have double gates at the entrance and a"special fence" which allows you to park even the largest of boats in the front yard!

The yard is fully fenced and we do allow outside pets subject to a few conditions.
  • At the back of the house, we have a BBQ and undercover outdoor setting. There is also a swing for the kids in the avocado tree.

There is a fish cleaning table in the laundry and a bait freezer. We do ask that you empty this before you leave!
  • Large outdoor table with very comfy chairs. There's nothing like freshly caught fish on the BBQ for dinner!
  • Launching a boat Kurrimine style often requires the use of an old tractor - the town is full of them. There are two perfectly suitable boat ramps though - a tidal one at the beach and one at the creek.
  • In a town where the standard greeting is "been fishin'" rather than "g'day" a short stroll to the pub will fill you in on all you need to know about the best local spots to wet your line!

Or you could join the Kurrimine Beach Fishing Club.
  • The best thing about Kurrimine Beach?

I always joke that dad's gone fishing, the kids are out playing and I actually manage to get 5 minutes to myself. Now where is that cocktail book again!!
  • Room for the boat! We have a special fence panel that can be swung to make room to get your pride and joy inside the yard.
  • We got hoses and buckets so that you can wash the boat down before going home. See we have thought of everything!
  • There is a folding table in the laundry that we use to clean our fish. There is a filleting knife and a supply of freezer bags.

We just ask you wash the area down well afterwards to avoid stinky surprises!
  • The beach boat ramp is at the northern end of town - about a 5 minute drive. You have to check the tides. There is plenty of parking.
  • The boat ramp into the creek is about 200m from the house. Parking is a little tighter here but you are not so dependant on the tides. It is about a 10 min run out to the mouth and there is no bar but you do need to keep towards the right.
  • Enough said, when shall we book you in?
  • Large covered capport for undercover parking or outdoor entertaining.
  • Your next weekend could be full of walks on an all but deserted tropical beach with palm trees, tropical islands and stunning sunrises.
  • Just a selection of the games, toys and colouring books we have at the house to keep the little ones entertained!
  • Another view of the main bedroom. This is a queen bed but the photo makes it look a strange size. There is heaps of storage for those longer stays.
  • The second bedroom has single bunk beds and a double bed with a single bunk over it. There is a day bed in the living area if needed.
  • The resident pelicans always welcome the fishermen back to the beach. I wonder what they want?
  • Nothing better than teaching your kids to fish!
  • If we haven't convinced you to come and stay yet, perhaps this photo will. We really do have one of the best fishing spots in North Queensland.

Don't believe us, simply come and try for yourself!

We look forward to seeing you at the beach soon!
