Sitting on 5 acres of sprawling desert this fully renovated pueblo-style home is the perfect weekend escape.

With only 9 minutes driving to Pappy & Harriet's and 20 minutes to the town of Joshua Tree, you'll be completely off the grid but close enough to restaurants, bars and shops.

The space
Casa Mami has been curated with a selection of our favorite brands and products. Our goal was to create an experience in which guests can interact with products in a different way.

With the location being the main feature of our house, we wanted to bring the outdoors into the house. Open the La Cantina out-swing french doors and relax in the living room sitting on the Moooi Cloud Sofa by Marcel Wanders taking in the striking views. Or simply sit in the front porch in a set of lounge chairs from LAUN LA and watch time go by.

The light is beautiful throughout the entire day. At night the stars are the main event, sit by the patio or lay back in the yard and immerse yourself into an amazing stargazing experience.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

DESERT LIVING: One of our favorite things about being in nature is the wildlife, so don't be surprised if you run into a few unexpected guests in the surrounding areas - you might see wild rabbits, coyotes and even mountain lions as well as mice, beetles, snakes, and spiders. Keep in mind that the desert is their home and it's all part of the adventure.

SOLAR ENERGY: Being off-grid is a unique experience but it comes with a few challenges - Please be mindful of your electricity consumption and avoid the usage of heavy electrical devices (such as hairdryers).

WATER: Water is a commodity in the desert, so please also be mindful of the amount of water you use when showering, washing your hands or doing the dishes. While the water comes from a clean source, we recommend you pick a up a few drinking water bottles in town for safety.

WiFi: Please note that there's is no cellphone signal at the house but we have satellite WiFi / landline. Stay connected, or choose not to :)

PARKING: Please park by the water tank, there are 2 parking spots.

SEPTIC: The house is on a septic system, please do not flush anything other than toilet paper.

TRASH: There will be an additional $20 charge if you fill up more than one large trash bag.
