About this listing
Unwind & enjoy the sweet life in your quiet, comfortable beach home just around the corner to the best beach on the East coast & local shops. Or play tourist & gourmet in Charleston, one of the world's favorite destinations, a short drive away.
Why cram yourself into an over-priced hotel room when you can live comfortably like a resident away from the tourists' noise and only steps from the beach? You are a short walk to the ocean (about 3-5 minutes) and to town stores. Popular restaurants and bars are an easy walk or bike ride.

Laura and Michael are amazing hosts. They are thoughtful and kind. We asked about a highchair and a pack and play which they brought to us shortly after we arrived. They made our stay much easier. They even got a highchair we could take with us to go out. The house was comfortable and perfect for our little family. We loved walking to the beach which was incredibly beautiful. Our kids loved the park that was close by and playing in the yard. We enjoyed using the bbq and would definitely rent from them again. The best part of renting from them was the ease of communicating with Laura. She was always quick to respond and kind. Another reviewer mentioned bugs and I was a little worried about that but we didn't have any problems. Can't wait to come back to Isle of Palms.
We were pleased with the location and our hosts were welcoming. The house was what we needed. The property is walking distance from all the food choices on IoP. Laura and Michael were available by text and their place is immediately upstairs if we needed help.
We had a great trip. For the price, I really don't think you can beat this house and this location. We walked to the beach every day, past the hordes of people hunting for a parking spot. The hosts were completely available and very gracious. If you would rather spend your money on activities instead of rent, I don't think you can do better than this. We had 5 adults and 2 children, and although it was a squeeze, we were very comfortable.
The property was perfect for our trip. We fit 6 people comfortably with the beach access one block away. The host provided a beach cart, beach toys, umbrella and chairs. The interior space was clean and tidy.
We were on isle of palms for a wedding and this rental served us well. It is super close to the beach, grocery store and center of town. The house doesn't have many frills but has your basic needs for the week.(we didn't spend a lot of time at the house we were out and about). Michael and Laura were very helpful.
We spent a wonderful holiday at Laura & Michael's house. The house is very close to the beach (and what a beach!), easy with children, spacious and cozy, and Laura and Michael were absolutely wonderful hosts who did all they could to make us feel welcome. Thank you, a great experience!

About the Host, Laura And Michael
We are a happy couple whose lives center around faith, family, and friends. Michael is a lifelong teacher, and after over 30 years of teaching, I unexpectedly had the opportunity to launch an exciting start up in the summer of 2014 and am now full time co-founder of LaunchPath Innovation.
We love going to the beach, cooking and sharing meals, and conversation with friends, traveling everywhere, books, and movies. Michael is a surfer and runner, and he can teach ANYONE (except me) how to surf.
Our motto is: “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” (John Wesley)
