Welcome to the Story Suite. Inspired by local Idaho Storytellers, there are artistic details throughout. Warm colors, 10 feet ceilings, private kitchen and gorgeous new bathroom, hardwood floors, queen bed. Dogs are allowed for an additional fee.
Come stay with us at the Boise Guest House! My daughter and I welcome you to our family-owned and operated European-style guest house.
We are located in fantastic downtown/ North End location, the historic district of little old Boise. You can walk everywhere, or rent our cool bikes to the farmer's market or the park. We are only 4 miles from the airport, so a taxi is inexpensive. We're also 2 blocks from the Boise Co-op, so you can buy groceries and prepare your own meals.
We offer breakfast from the Big City Cafe for an additional $10. We will pick up your breakfast of your choice and deliver it to you! There are several cafes and restaurants within walking distance to explore in our neighborhood. We are across the street from Federal offices and the newly renovated Idaho State Capitol Building.
Our completely restored 1895 Queen Anne Victorian has six unique suites. Each room has a private bathroom and a kitchen, flat screen tvs and wireless internet. We have availability by the night, week or month. Our rates vary on length of stay, and the size of the suite, generally starting at $99/nightly, discounted 15% for a five night + stay. Let us know how many there are in your group, and we'll recommend a suite based on your needs. Prices range from $99-$189. We have the studio suites listed, and can create a special offer if they are not available for your visit.
We welcome groups and families needing a place where you can all stay together. Weddings, family reunions and retreats - we do it all! We do not have a nightly minimum, so call us up for that quick trip to Boise.
Thanks for taking a look! We hope to see you soon!
The Boise Guest House has a garden, barbecue, shared outside tables. You will have your own kitchen, access to the laundry room. Everyone has their own suite, so nothing is shared except the common space.
Interaction with Guests
I would love to meet you! I have designed the Boise Guest House around the idea that you want your space when you travel. I have staff onsite cleaning suites from 11am-3pm to bring you anything you would like. My experience traveling / working for ten years is that it's exhausting... and the last thing you need is an Innkeeper chatting away at you! Of course, if you would like to meet me, I'm around. Order breakfast! I do the deliveries. I'm also around when staff is onsite a few times. Otherwise, my office is down the street.
The Boise Guest House is located in a government building zone. We have a few neighbors, but mostly it's a daytime office area. Around the corner from us the North End begins and we are within two blocks of the Boise Co-op. We are also about 4 blocks from the restaurant corridor and downtown shopping. We are away from all the nighttime noise, but close enough to easily access. Coffee shops are nearby.
Bikes! Boise is so bike friendly. We have four cruisers with racks and baskets for you to rent. It's only $10/day.
Other Things to Note
We hope you consider staying with us! Dogs are welcome in some of our rooms for an extra $25 per dog. We are family-friendly and provide toys and high chairs. Please note we have posted our prices to reflect our studio suites. We have six suites to choose from ranging from $99-$189 on weekends. We will create a special offer for you if the studios are unavailable for the times you are traveling.
There is absolutely no smoking on the premises. Pets (dogs) are permitted with prior approval in some suites, but this must be approved by the owner in advance. Other guests have extreme allergies to both smoke and pets, so we have a strict policy in our suites. Failure to adhere to our policy will result in the loss of the security deposit as well as an additional cost of $100 on your credit card. Regular wear and tear is to be expected. Gross neglect to our property will also result in a loss of the security deposit in addition to the replacement cost of the item (s) that were damaged. Thank you for your understanding in advance for respecting our property and commitment to a wonderful experience for everyone staying with us.

Charm. Clean. Convenient. Eve-Marie's place was all of these.
I was visiting Boise for a business conference, and was looking for something a little less "sterile" than the downtown hotel rooms. I was not disappointed.
I guess the best part of staying there was unwinding after stressful meetings all day. I don't know what it was exactly, but the stress melted away as soon as I entered the room.
Cozy. That's the word I'm looking for.
I you want a sterile, modern place to stay, this isn't it.
But if you want to feel like you're back home, wrapped in a warm blanket of warm and cozy, with a completely outfitted kitchen area, then don't hesitate to stay there. Even the WiFi was fast. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Eve-Marie accidentally accepted my reservation request. That said it was a last minute request and I was traveling with my dog. She was quick to reply and nicely explained there was availability but none of the spaces left allowed dogs. I will try to reserve with her again next time I'm going through Boise!
Beautiful, well appointed rooms in a great neighborhood just steps from downtown. Great coffee!!! If you have a baby/toddler (like we did) would definitely recommend getting a larger suite.
Great location, and the self check-in was very easy. The room was adorable, very clean and comfortable! There was a mix-up with the booking and I ended up in a room different than the one I had booked, but otherwise a great stay! I would recommend staying here.
Another wonderful time at the Boise Guest house - every detail from the reservation confirmation and check-in to the well appointed space. Our expectations have been exceeded every time we stay there. Our favorite is the "Attic" apartment.

Hi! I'm Eve-Marie, the owner of Boise Guest House.
Before I opened the Boise Guest House in 2007, I was a professional artist and instructor and traveled frequently to teach art workshops. I wished I had found places like this; a private kitchen and bathroom, close to a natural grocery store, with simple decor. I love historic buildings, but preferred contemporary appointments over floral prints and poster beds. My mother, Carol (an amazing designer!) and I combined our skills and created this special place. We like to say, "Little Spaces, Big Love".
Needless to say, the Boise Guest House is a magnet for creative individuals desiring a different accommodation. I've been involved in every phase of remodeling this building and creating a guest experience unique to our community. We are on the edge of the historic North End, a few blocks from downtown's attractions.
My daughter and I (my assistant, Finola) run the place. I've created a " hands-off" accommodation, built on the premise that you probably like exploring little breakfast cafes and the area arts scene on your own. Because I am working to reduce our carbon footprint, I don't offer daily housekeeping. I have made everything accessible so that you will have a comfortable stay. You can even rent bikes and explore the area - we have 4 beach cruisers.
Even though we offer an independent experience, I live very close to the Boise Guest House, and I am onsite daily. Send me a note if you'd like to meet!
I also snowboard, backcountry ski, hike, camp and mountain bike for fun. I also enjoy Burning Man and other arts & music festivals, as well as independent movies, painting, design and literature. I welcome guests interested in yoga, meditation and all ideas that enhance human consciousness.
Come stay at the Boise Guest House, or one my off-site suites at the new annex property on 6th Street. I opened a monthly accommodation at 6th and Sherman summer of 2013 that is now ready for longer 30 day stays.
Thank you so much for visiting my profile! Have a great day!
