The Space

Come stay with us at the Boise Guest House! My daughter and I welcome you to our family-owned and operated European-style guest house.

We are located in fantastic downtown/ North End location, the historic district of little old Boise. You can walk everywhere, or rent our cool bikes to the farmer's market or the park. We are only 4 miles from the airport, so a taxi is inexpensive. We're also 2 blocks from the Boise Co-op, so you can buy groceries and prepare your own meals.

We offer breakfast from the Big City Cafe for an additional $10. We will pick up your breakfast of your choice and deliver it to you! There are several cafes and restaurants within walking distance to explore in our neighborhood. We are across the street from Federal offices and the newly renovated Idaho State Capitol Building.

Our completely restored 1895 Queen Anne Victorian has six unique suites. Each room has a private bathroom and a kitchen, flat screen tvs and wireless internet. We have availability by the night, week or month. Our rates vary on length of stay, and the size of the suite, generally starting at $99/nightly, discounted 15% for a five night + stay. Let us know how many there are in your group, and we'll recommend a suite based on your needs. Prices range from $99-$189. We have the studio suites listed, and can create a special offer if they are not available for your visit.

We welcome groups and families needing a place where you can all stay together. Weddings, family reunions and retreats - we do it all! We do not have a nightly minimum, so call us up for that quick trip to Boise.

Thanks for taking a look! We hope to see you soon!

Guest Access

The Boise Guest House has a garden, barbecue, shared outside tables. You will have your own kitchen, access to the laundry room. Everyone has their own suite, so nothing is shared except the common space.

Interaction with Guests

I would love to meet you! I have designed the Boise Guest House around the idea that you want your space when you travel. I have staff onsite cleaning suites from 11am-3pm to bring you anything you would like. My experience traveling / working for ten years is that it's exhausting... and the last thing you need is an Innkeeper chatting away at you! Of course, if you would like to meet me, I'm around. Order breakfast! I do the deliveries. I'm also around when staff is onsite a few times. Otherwise, my office is down the street.

The Neighborhood

The Boise Guest House is located in a government building zone. We have a few neighbors, but mostly it's a daytime office area. Around the corner from us the North End begins and we are within two blocks of the Boise Co-op. We are also about 4 blocks from the restaurant corridor and downtown shopping. We are away from all the nighttime noise, but close enough to easily access. Coffee shops are nearby.

Getting around

Bikes! Boise is so bike friendly. We have four cruisers with racks and baskets for you to rent. It's only $10/day.

Other Things to Note

We hope you consider staying with us! Dogs are welcome in some of our rooms for an extra $25 per dog. We are family-friendly and provide toys and high chairs. Please note we have posted our prices to reflect our studio suites. We have six suites to choose from ranging from $99-$189 on weekends. We will create a special offer for you if the studios are unavailable for the times you are traveling.

  • Loved this place. The room was adorable and clean. Convenient and easy check-in. The room had great amenities if you wanted to cook in, but was also a short walk to great restaurants and shops.

  • Everything about this place was seamless and convenient. We were only in Boise one night, but I would love to stay longer. Convenient location for a walk downtown. Clean and accommodating. Small efficient kitchen is great if you would like to have tea or something in your room.

  • This place was perfect. A small apartment right by downtown Boise - so very close to restaurants and shops. The place was pristine and nicely decorated. We had a noisy neighbor above us who walked around in his cowboy boots but other than that I would definitely come here again and would absolutely record to anyone wanting a great place to stay in Boise.

  • The listing and neighborhood was exactly as I expected, and well represented on the website. The room had all the amenities I needed and was done so well - intimate and comfortable but stylish and functional as well.

Eve-Marie was prompt with any responses for questions I had and has a wonderful check-in setup upon arrival.

Looking forward to returning to Boise simply so I can stay again!

  • I love staying at the Boise Guest House and have done so many times. It is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and clean, and in the perfect location close to downtown. Charming and so much better than a hotel. Eve-Marie is responsive and friendly and a wonderful host -- one time I accidentally left my camping headlamp there and she was very quick to get it back to me. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

  • If you want to enjoy downtown Boise in comfort and privacy, the Boise Guest House is a great place to stay. for $89 per night, I had a kitchenette and private bath, flat screen TV and wifi access. The bed was entirely comfortable, the décor charming, and it was beautifully clean when I arrived. I was so close to the State Capitol that I could see the lighted dome at night. I walked to the downtown Farmer's Market and the Art in the Park event. Wonderful stay!

  • Just as comfortable and lovely as in the pictures. We arrived on a hot August afternoon and so appreciated that both AC units in the Treetop Suite were cranking when we go there. Loved being close enough to walk to great places for dinner and breakfast after being in the car for hours. Would definitely stay again!

Hi! I'm Eve-Marie, the owner of Boise Guest House. I was previously a professional artist and instructor, traveling frequently to teach workshops. I wished I had found places like this; a private kitchen and bathroom, close to a natural grocery store, with simple decor. I love historic buildings, but preferred contemporary appointments. Needless to say, the Boise Guest House is a magnet for creative individuals wanting something different than box hotels. As a family-owned business, I've been involved in every phase of this business. My daughter and I (my assistant, Finola) run the place. We have a hands-off accommodation, built on the premise that you probably like exploring little breakfast cafes and the area arts scene on your own. We also believe in reducing the carbon footprint, and so we don't offer daily housekeeping. Also, you can rent bikes and explore the area - we have 4 beach cruisers! I also snowboard, backcountry ski, hike, camp and mountain bike for fun. I also enjoy Burning Man and other arts & music festivals, as well as independent movies, art and literature. I welcome guests interested in yoga, meditation and all ideas that enhance human consciousness. Come stay at the Boise Guest House, or one our off-site suites at the new Annex! We opened a monthly accommodation at 6th and Sherman summer of 2013 that is now ready for longer 30 day stays.
