Villa Ananda is a Deluxe Villa in a complex called Villa Nirvana. It is located in the artists village of Penestanan in Ubud, the cultural, artistic and spiritual capital of Bali. It has an ensuite bathroom with a rainshower. It shares a pool with another villa, but if there is no occupant there, the pool is all yours.
Villa Nirvana is secluded and surrounded by lush greenery, yet is just a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. No cars are allowed in the immediate vicinity, so it's super-quiet. But we have golf buggies to ferry you and your luggage.

We had a wonderfull 3-days stay! After a warm welcome we were suprised to be upgraded for Villa Ananda Sri. The Villa is well designed, clean and has a very comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the pool. The water was very pure (the best we had in Bali) and refreshing, which we appreciate in the hot weather. The staff was amazing friendly, helpful and reliable. The receptionist organized a pick up for us, which was on time and acually a good idea as the Villa Nirvana is a little bit hidden. We also tried the outdoor Spa and we are already missing the terapists golden hands! The Villa is situated in a quiet and green surrounding 20 minutes of walk from the center of Ubud, which is not bad if you walk it only once a day. Villa Nirvana is a great place to stay where the staff will take a good care of you. Thank you and I higly recommend!
We stayed at Villa Nirvana for nine nights and it was wonderful! The staff were fabulous and always willing to help with a smile. The private pool was gorgeous and we could easily do some laps each morning as it is about 13 meters long. The nearby yoga studio is only a few minutes walk away and this was also great. The location of Villa Nirvana is very quiet and it took about half an hour to walk to the centre of Ubud, however we also hired a scooter to get around which was good. On a few of the nights, we had some noisy neighbours, however the rest of the time was very peaceful.
My weekend at Villa Ananda was wonderful... the rooms where beautifully kept, the staff are friendly and attentive and our private pool (shared with one other room) was divine! It's located in the hills so you have to drive into town (only 10 minutes) but it was nice to be surrounded by forest and quiet.

Hello, I'm a writer and I own Villa Nirvana, which is a boutique hotel in Bali. It is professionally managed (I could never do it myself!) and the team, led by seasoned hotelier Dean, does a fabulous job . I like meeting people who have a love of life and great stories, wherever they might come from . I travel moderately myself, preferring to stay in small boutique-type establishments that have a unique charm, rather than the conventional five star chains.
I don't live in Bali, so I will not personally be your host at Villa Nirvana - though I'll be lucky to be visiting while you're there. But the staff are wonderful and will treat you like family - check out the site for what other guests have had to say. Hope you do go and have a great stay.
My life motto: we're here to learn about ourselves, through our lives and the lives of others.
