I have had to institute a NO PET policy due to some issues. I am willing to entertain special cases but that will need to be discussed and there may be extra fees/steps.
It was an easy and wonderful travel experience. Our host was very accomodating.
Our stay was so wonderful!! Lance was an amazing host, so welcoming and generous! The house is beautiful, spacious, and clean. The pictures do not do it justice. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and just a minutes from shopping, grocery, restaurants, and the beach:) We had a great time! I would definitely recommend this home!!
This is a beautiful home - do not hesitate to book! The home offers ample space for families or couples, with wonderful extras such as dual shower heads, memory foam mattresses, and a supply of beach toys/chairs etc. Lance was easy to work with and accommodating. His setup promotes a communal "pay it forward" approach that is quite refreshing! Easy access to a calm, quiet beach (we only visited the beach at Sullivan's Island), and easy access to downtown Charleston. Lovely home, lovely host, great vacation.
This was our best family vacation EVER, largely due to this amazing house!! The pictures and description do not do the place justice. The location is absolutely perfect. You can be at the beach in 3 minutes, or in downtown Charleston in 15. The street is quiet, and views are absolutely beautiful. Lance was more than gracious and went out of his way to answer all of our questions. The porches and sound system made me never want to leave. We are already trying to nail down dates to come back, and for a family that always wants a new experience with each trip it's a new feeling!! I have never felt more at home and welcome than I did in Mount Pleasant and especially Sullivan's Island. And in a dream house to top it off:)
This home was a great find. The house very large and is in a really nice suburb, with easy access to both the beach and city. There is a lot of common space on both the ground level and deck. Lance was incredibly responsive and takes great care of this house. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in spending time in the Charleston area.
This house was perfect for our trip with another couple to celebrate the 4th of July! It was spacious, comfortable, and convenient. Lance welcomed us with a note and bottles of wine and later came by to meet us in person during week. He was very gracious and friendly. The beds were comfortable, the house was very clean, and the surround-sound stereo system throughout the house was a bonus. The large living room and its TV was a great place to watch some of the World Cup games.
During our week in Lance's home, we biked 2 miles to Sullivan's Island, packed up the car and enjoyed a beach day on Isle of Palms (6 mi away), and went into Charleston (7 miles) to see the sights and eat at its great restaurants. There are some cute antique/home stores and local restaurants just outside of Lance's neighborhood. We felt very safe and would love to come back again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lance's house and our interaction with Lance was pleasant too. The house is roomy and airy and fully equipped with any thing you might like to take to the beach. We used the baseball mitts and the frisbees! Lance came by to greet us and stayed in touch before, during and after our stay. Tasty bottles of wine were a welcome treat after our long drive.
Mount Pleasant is a vibrant community and Lance's house is well-situated for exploration by car or by bicycle. I will stay here again when I visit the Charleston area.

About the Host, Lance
Hello! I'm an outgoing, conscientious male physician, athlete, and cultural enthusiast. I have a military background. I was a good boy scout...and learned to "always leave the area better than I found it"! I love to travel to clear my head of the rigors of medical practice, to meet interesting people and to explore various geographies. I own several properties myself and respect the nuances and sensitivities of having a new person in one's dwelling. I enjoy a wide range of activities, but 'active activities' are at the top of the list. I currently practice a self created philosophy I call 'militant voluntary simplicity' which allows me to live and travel lightly and easily. Cheers!
PS: For extra validation and security, I hold unrestricted medical licenses in NC, SC and Texas...you are welcome to look me up (once we meet I can show ID and last name) at the medical board for any or all. Just websearch the (SC or NC or TX) Medical Board and there will be a link to look up licensees. This profile wont let me put the direct link for you. You will see that I am in good standing (which means my medical and legal records are pristine).Thx in advance!
