About this listing
Air-conditioned, 2,500 square-foot, three-bedroom home with large kitchen, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances—and just me living in it. This energy-efficient townhouse is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood with easy parking and just 50 feet from Boulder's famous running and bike paths. Your own private room and bath makes up the entire second floor. Short walks to shopping, 10 minute drive to popular Pearl Street Mall and the university. I also have the primo spot for all cyclists and runners in town! (Strictly non-smoking here—even outside.)
Your carpeted room has a queen-size bed and its own en suite full bath, balcony, large closet and four-drawer dresser.
As you would have at your own home, full access to laundry area, kitchen and a modest collection of teas and coffee for your enjoyment too. And, of course, free Wi-Fi.
All this, and just 40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park!
Truly looking forward to meeting you. Safe and happy travels wherever you may go.
Parking is on street. Easy, safe and just outside building! Public transportation is not convenient from my house.
Other Things to Note
* There is a happy, friendly puppy living here. Sheila the Shepherd. No extra charge to play with her! *
I love my house and I trust you will too. Fairly sound-proof and well insulated, but this is NOT a place for parties and lots of extra guests.
My kitchen and utensils (and seasonings!) are open for use -- and I'll make sure there is room in the refrigerator for anything you may need to store.
It's a "Golden Rule" home. Please treat it like your own. :)
Ian was a perfect host. We had cookies waiting for us and he told us we could use his coffee. His home is magnificent; picture does not do it justice. The neighborhood is relatively new, extremely quiet and a perfect location. We were without a car and took a a bus from Denver airport to Boulder (very reasonable). We told bus driver where we were going and he gave us a transfer to within blocks of Ian's home. Very easy commute. Ian was away while we were there, but we had a woman with whom we could contact if needed. The accommodations were wonderful; beautiful bedroom with a most comfortable bed and private bath steps away. Could not have been more pleased. We sat outside on the patio enjoying coffee each morning in the glorious sunshine.
Stayed a whole week with Ian and greatly enjoyed the great comfort of his home and conversations with himself. The house is super clean and the guest suite, bright quiet bedroom and private bath, has nothing short of a 4 star hotel suite. The house is in a new development a short 10 minute ride the northeast of the Pearl Street mall and center of the city, hence making the car a necessity for most shopping and going out trips. However Ian's great hospitality and immaculate place more than makes up for the distance. When in Boulder, I would certainly try to stay chez Ian again. And of course his trademark welcome and farewell cookies are absolutely sublime....
The listing description was accurate. The neighborhood was very beautiful and the host was very nice. Ian welcomed us the first night and left the house in the remaining days. We felt quite comfortable and recommend this beautiful room!
Ian was very welcoming. He had his home-made baked cookies ready and he provided us with some materials that introduced us to Boulder. The place was really clean and cute too. At night, you can see stars in the balcony and the fact that the bathroom is attached to the room made everything so much more convenient. After a long hike, my clothes got pretty dirty and I was able to utilize Ian's washer and dryer. I would definitely come back here next time I visit Rocky Mountain!
Ian (the host) has an amazing smile. I’m just sayin’. The trip to Boulder is almost worth it for that alone. A most cordial host, Ian makes guests feel so welcome in his eclectic townhouse that it’s sometimes easy for them to forget that they’re paying guests, not personal friends.
The guest bedroom and en suite bath offer both privacy and comfort. There is no television in the room, but one is available elsewhere in the unit. WiFi access is reliable. A small, outdoor balcony with two cushioned folding chairs is also attached to the room. Street parking is available on the block. Note: this is not a place for partying hard or late night noise. It’s a nice complex where real folks live, and respectful guests are appreciated. Friendly neighbors are used to seeing Ian’s guests going in and out.
The location is convenient to Boulder sights and shopping, but not in the middle of the action . . . in my book, a clear benefit. Pearl Street, the 29th Street Mall and innumerable restaurants are only minutes away by car, and bike/running trails are adjacent to the complex. (Tangerine, a terrific breakfast/lunch eatery only a few minutes away, was a morning favorite.) Rocky Mountain National Park is a little more than an hour away by car.
Be aware that other Airbnb locations in Boulder rent for less. Ian’s place falls in the middle of the range as I recall. Is this room worth the nightly rate? That’s up to each individual to judge . . . but the multiple reviews here are overwhelmingly positive. For a lengthy, two-week visit like mine, it was perfect. RECOMMENDED.
Never having stayed in an Airbnb accommodation, I was somewhat skeptical at first. However, after staying at my host's home, I must say it was delightful and an overall pleasant experience. Our communication was great, and my private bedroom & bath was very clean and comfortable. He had all the amenities a traveler would need, and his home was as lovely (if not more so) as the photos in his listing page. My host was very welcoming and accommodating. The neighborhood was ideal for my travel needs, and I would definitely contact this host again thru Airbnb in the future if traveling to this area.
