We really enjoyed our stay with Holly and Eila. It is so interesting and inspiring to see how they are working to reclaim the land in this beautiful spot. They are generous and accomodating hosts, breakfast is delicious, and the room has one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced.
Our weeklong stay was lovely;
with gracious hospitality, Holly and Eila were wonderful hosts.
Conversations over an elegantly prepared breakfast were much
about the Big Island's history and charm. After breakfast one or
two little animals would accompany us as we whale watched from
the beautiful lanai; starting off a great day for another island
A perfect location in a beautiful setting; we hope to return again
next year. Highly recommended.
We had a delightful stay at Kohala Koi Guest Hale! The place is breathtaking, clean, quiet, comfortable. Holly & Eila are gracious hosts, knowledgeable and caring -- and the breakfasts! Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. One thing I enjoyed was doing my yoga on the grass, as three handsome hens found it quite interesting and would join me as I saluted the sun! Very lovely spot and Hawi Town is only minutes away. Holly & Eila's involvement and commitment to their community, their land and animals, and to the planet are inspiring. Highly recommended.
We had a most enjoyable stay in Hawi despite the rainy weather, mostly due to the warm and friendly reception we had from Holly and Eila. Their farm is beautifully situated on land overlooking the sea and distant Maui. Our room was very cosy, clean and comfortable. The mostly outdoor, yet modern bathroom was quite the adventure. Our breakfasts were delicious and nutritional and they were very accommodating for our Vegan diet. Highly recommended.
Eila and Holly were great hosts making us feel very welcome and at home. Their location just outside of Hawi is great and the view from their property stunning. Our room in a separate building was beautiful and had an attached outdoor shower which was wonderful. The breakfast, which we ate in the main house, was delicious. Eggs from their chickens and fruit from their trees. They are working hard to restore the property to its natural state. Great hosts and great visit.
Holly's place was absolutely delightful. We hope to visit again soon! We also loved Hawi more generally.
We had an absolut fantastic stay at Holly´s & Eila´s beautiful home near Hawi! We loved the "Aloha spirit" at their place and our daily conversation while having breakfast. The guestroom (located in a separate house) is very cosy and clean, has a private bathroom (toilet & shower) and another outdoor-shower (...just perfect!). We loved the eco-friendly lifestyle and the idea of living off-grid. Holly & Eila are great hosts, very friendly and caring. The surrounding area and the town of Hawi is absolutely beautiful, an amazing place to relax. Highly recommended!!!
