About this listing
Welcome to our lovely home! This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is full of light and charm. We are smack dab in the heart of Dupont Circle, and within blocks of the red line metro, myriad restaurants, bars and cafes, and Rock Creek Park.
Our condo is located right in one of the nicest neighborhoods in DC (Dupont Circle). We are 2 blocks from the metro (red line--main artery going through DC), less than 1 mile from the White House and the National Mall (including the Smithsonian Museums, etc), 1 metro stop away from the National Zoo, 0.75 miles from Rock Creek National Park, and minutes from tons and tons of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, shops, bars, etc. It's a seriously great location! We are also half a block from a Capitol Bikeshare station. The apartment itself has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, which can accommodate 4 people comfortably. There's street parking aplenty, but I personally think it's easier to go by foot, bike, or metro. Feel free to contact us with questions, etc. Will and I have lived in this neighborhood for 10+ years years so have a good sense of what's fun, the good restaurants, and all the rest. Plus, we've hosted lots of bicycle tourists via (URL HIDDEN) so we're very amenable to orienting people to a new city and have lots of maps and walking books about DC that we can share. We hope you have a great visit to DC!
Guests will have access to the entire place, since we'll be traveling.
Dupont Circle is one of the nicest areas in DC. Our condo is across the street from a lovely grocery store/beer garden (Glen's), and is surrounded by restaurants of every kind. Filter Coffee makes an incredible pour over, and is across the street, as well. Trader Joe's, Safeway, and Whole Foods are all within a 20 minute walk. So much to do and see right out the front door!
Red line metro is a few blocks away, and the local bus picks up a block away. Capital Bikeshare is one block away, as well. It's MUCH easier to get around by foot/bike/cab/metro/bus than by car!
Pretty simple--We have a no-shoe policy inside, and no smoking allowed (non-smokers only, please). Basically, treat the space as you would your own home. You're welcome to use the kitchen but we ask that you provide your own groceries, etc.
Another view of the living/dining area, showing the front door, dining table, and stairwell down to the bedrooms/bathrooms.
I'm 36 years old and work for the District of Columbia's Medicaid office. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Nepal for 2 years after college (Peace Corps), then lived in Berkeley, California for 3 years (grad school). I've been in DC for 9+ years now, and I'm an avid runner, cyclist, and cook (plus I love to eat everything). I like to think I'm a pretty friendly and warm person. (BTW, my family is originally from India, in case that matters!)
