LEAVE NO TRACE!
"Leave no trace" is the only rule of the place.
Please do like at home. But please, keep in mind that this home is shared by other people all the time. It doesn't take a lot of efforts to have a clean, tidy, calm house, if everybody collaborates...
So "leave no trace" means... leave no trace!
If you cook, leave no trace.
If you take off your boots... don't leave them in the way.
And if you walk with it on the floor during the Winter : leave no trace!
Same thing if you're having the shower of your life : leave no trace!
When you leave... empty your mini-fridge or give the food to other roommates!
And if it is late, around 10-11PM, in the lobby... sound is considered as a trace.
Please be quiet and kind to the other people who live in the house who may sleep. And please tell to others they should remain quiet if they are feeling too much social around our marvelous bar! ;)
As you can see, there are uncountable ways of leaving no trace. There are more and more and more... but we can't write them all here. That wouldn't sound fun and would be useless. Why? Because leave no trace is a logic way of living. It is a way to respect the the life space of others, a way to share without hurts.
So please, leave no trace :)
And everything will be fun and fine!
Otherwise... you are free to do whatever you like inside the house... except smoking, playing with bare fire, and running naked (although it could be tolerated)...
See ya in da house :)
My son and his girlfriend stayed at la Baraque. I think they had Annie experience but it isn't always easy because it's always new people taking care of the rooms.
Reserved this place by my mistake when I was drunk, was supposed to book with somebody else. Was a bit overpriced for the condition of the place. The place looks like a dungeon, Very uncomfortable bed, dead pillows that gave me a neck pain, the toilet flush doesn't work properly, ended up checking out early and transferring to a hotel. The only good part was its right in the village and we were there for the pride weekend. This was my first air bnb experience. My friends stayed at a much better place with air conditioning for less price which was also very close to the village.
Nice room in a very charming apartment, located in the center of Montréal. Noémie has been friendly and welcoming tu us all the time. Definitely recommend it!
I had a very nice stay at Noémie's place. Location was great! I had to be arriving a bit late, she made sure I could get in, communication was good. The room is as advertised, nothing fancy, but has all the basics I needed. I would stay again.
Coloc bien située et hôte agréable bien que peu vue. L' étage (chambres) mériterait une rénovation. Rapport qualité /prix satisfaisant néanmoins.
Since so many people out there have written in French, I will do in English.
The room was exactly 100% as described. It is located in one of the best locations in Montreal, I can say. You just open the house door then you find the gay village 10 seconds from your room. The house was clean and equipped with anything you'd need to cook and spend your time happily in Montreal.
My stay was so impressive with Noemie. She's a really nice girl you couldn't find just anywhere. Noemie was someone who took care a lot of my stay. We have spent a lot of time discussing Quebec, Canada and Montreal history. You'll have a great time just discussing things with her.
I have been in more than 30 destinations in Asia, Europe and North America. All I could say is that Montreal has now become one of my TOP 3 destinations.
Thanks again for making my stay very impressive. I had a nice time staying here and it wouldn't be the same without Noemie.
Have a good luck and you'll love Quebec as I do 3
