Entertainment in Trastevere:
A favorite place among many is Big Mama, where you can enjoy concerts playing jazz, rock and blues. Big Mama is a place where aspiring young singers hit the stage in the hopes of becoming famous. This is also a great area to go out for dinner. Not only are there plenty of authentic Italian restaurants with high-quality pizza and pasta dishes, but many of the restaurants open earlier than in other parts of Rome to cater to tourists. In other parts of Rome, it is rare to find Romans who eat before 8 p.m.
The Trastevere is known for delicious food and some of the best restaurants in Rome. The La Fraschetta is considered to have the best gnocchi in town and offers customers four different sauces to go with the gnocchi. Another restaurant, Ristorante Asinocotto, has dishes made with fresh produce, sourced at the owner's own farm.

You made us feel really welcome. It was no problem that we arrived very late. Your friend took plenty of time to show us the recommended places in the area and explained everything to us. The apartment looks very nice, very clean. Location was great! You even took care of breakfast! Thanks a lot for making our stay this pleasant.
Gianmarco was very quick to respond to all inquiries with very good information. We ordered the hire car from the airport which was waiting for us at arrivals. We were taken to the apartment directly and were met by Christiano a friend of Giamarco's. Christiano was very helpful and explained about the area and the apartment and neighbourhood. We were able to walk everywhere and didn't need transit or taxis. The apartment was perfect for a family of 5 and very clean and well kept.
The apartment we had was really nice, we had light snacks but mainly dined outside. Hot water, and AC at all times and the bed and the pull out couch were both really comfortable. The area was a bit out of downtown core so it took a little of time to get to the apartment but there were still buses running late at night so we didn't have a major issue with that!
We missed out train the first day getting to the apartment and the host picked us up from the metro station because we were on his way. That was really nice of him. Would recommend staying there for sure
Gianmarco's apartment is located very close to major train station and tram stops that will take one very conveniently towards various tourist attractions of Rome and Vatican City respectively.
Before our arrival, Gianmarco had everything arranged for us and we were shown around the neighbourhood for restaurants and shops that we might need to buy extra daily necessity. Of which, Gianmarco recommended us to a restaurant nearby where the food is just simply Superb!
Once we were in the apartment, everything is neat and tidy. Whatever you need, i daresay that Gianmarco has probably made them available at your disposal. The environment is quiet and nice.
Thanks to Gianmarco once again for his top notch arrangement and his superb apartment. We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay and we would definitely stay at Gianmarco 's next time when we are in Rome. Should anyone of you wanted a place to stay in Rome, i strongly recommend you to stay at Gianmarco's.
Gianmarco is a very nice host. He explained in details. We were appreciative that he left complimentary snacks & drinks in the fridge. The place is cleaned with nice A/C. He replied to us immediately within less than 24 hours. However we were inexperienced travelers so found the place was far from the main attractions, since I have a 10 years old so even with the train station nearby it was still quite a distant to walk especially under the heat.
We were picked up at the airport by Gianmarco's friend and even if we came early we could store the luggage in the apartment while it was made ready for us.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and has a quiet location. The air-conditions work in two rooms and the wifi operates smooth. The kitchen is well equipped and essentials are there for you. Easy access to central Rome by tram. We recommend this place!
Apartment: Very clean and well stocked with cooking items as well as complementary snacks and drink. Kitchen is very nice. Bed is comfortable.
Location: The apartment is located very conveniently to public transportation. We arrived on a Sunday and were only one block away to the weekly open market. Only one block away from Trastevere train station. You can catch Tram 8 north to Piazza Venezia to see all the tourist sites. It is also very easy to get to the Vatican by getting on the FR3 train. You can also take tram 8, transfer to bus 115, and pass by Piazzale Garibaldi to get a great view of the Roman skyline and then onward to the Vatican. Also very convenient is that it is very close to the Ostiense train station where you can catch a train to other cities. If you are a foodie, Eataly is located in the same building as the Italo train terminal. From Trastevere station, the trip on the FR1 train to Fiumicino Airport is only 30 minutes and is very affordable.
Host: Gianmarco went beyond our expectations. He was very hospitable, personable and very accessible. He has a nook with books with information for visitors. His restaurant recommendation for La Tavernaccia is the best restaurant we’ve eaten at during our stay in Rome.
