Located in Bairro Alto, one of the Lisbon hippest and coolest place. Two minutes walking down Rua da Rosa is the heart of the glamorous and cosmopolitan city can still be felt in the Chiado, a place where the "new" and "old" live in harmony. Characterized by casual-chic atmosphere, with streets full of shops, fine restaurants, beautiful cobblestone, beautiful churches and timeless cafes, Chiado makes any visitor feel real Lisbon.
In Bairro Alto the stage is "artistic," alternative and bohemian city, as well as the center of Lisbon nightlife. Filled with crowds of night people, who enjoy a drink in a bar or restaurant, a menagerie of musical types and small and cozy restaurants. 2 minuts walking you reach one of the most popular and spectacular viewpoint which is S. Pedro de Alcantara. Close to Príncipe Real and Baixa, two of the most prominent historical and cultural areas in the center of Lisbon.
Do not forget to drink an espresso in the café A Brasileira - a meeting point for intellectuals and poets of the nineteenth century, such as Fernando Pessoa.
There are several buses and trams, and subway, 5 minutes away, although one can easily walk to the main points of the city.
Security Deposit of 100€ required. AirBnB will authorize your credit card 24 hours prior to check-in, and then refunded the deposit 48 hours after check-out.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The apartment is perfect for 4 people. We had last minute changes to our flight schedule, but everyone was very accommodating with meeting us at the apartment at a new time. Tiago was very welcoming and had great restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood. Location relative to other neighborhoods in Lisbon was perfect as it's a very walkable city.
Going out in Bairro Alto is awesome! Great people and cheap drinks for partying in the streets. With that being said, it is noisy at night during the weekends... But really you should be at the party anyways.
Thank you so much for a perfect first trip to Lisboa!
We loved staying at the apartment! Everything was perfect, Tiago welcomed us on time and the neighbourhood was perfect. We will come back! :-)
We had an amazing time here! A girl named Sara gave us a very warm welcome and was really helpful to show us on a map all the interesting sights to visit in Lisbon. Communication was really easy throughout the time we stayed there; emails and texts were answered very quickly, and we really appreciated that.
The apartment is very nice, cozy and big; a good place if you are more than 2 people. It had all the amenities and a nice fully equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed having a terrasse too! Great view! Also the Bairro Alto is a great place to stay if you are looking for easy access to trendy bars, restaurants, shops, etc. I would definitely recommend this place!
We love staying in this apartment. We had tons of space, the kitchen and bathroom were fully functional, the TV and channel selection were huge. There was lots of hot water however when four people tried to take a long shower the fourth person ended up with cold water. To be expected in any apartment with their own water heater!
The absolute best thing about the apartment were the hosts. We had a few reservations that we are having trouble making and they phoned the companies for us and arranged everything. As well they reacted quickly to our requests such as a larger coffee pot and tightening of the screws on the kitchen table.
You do need to be able bodied to handle the stairs up to the apartment but what a treat once you're inside. The location could not be beat especially if you like to party with the locals. One block away was all the entertainment you wanted however it was far and away at the apartment was quiet at night.
Tips: I love being able to buy bread and groceries at 6 AM one block away and dropping into the coffee shop. Just look up the street for a small red ice cream sign and around the corner you'll find a coffee and pastry shop where the locals stand at the counter and eat their delicious pastries and sit there coffee with milk in the morning. Go one block down that street and you'll find a butcher shop which is also open early. Across the street from the apartment building look for red doors and find Tapas who runs a Nepalese clothing and gift shop. Tell him hi from Suzanne in Vancouver.
The place was so lovely, we really had a great time here!
Its really clean, neat and quite spacious
You can enjoy the view to the sea as well as the castle, its amazing during sunset and sunrise
On top of that, the location is perfect.. its so close to the train station, restaurants, bars, tram.. everything is just couple of minutes walk
Im definitely recommending to stay here :)
We arrived on early flights and they were very accommodating by giving us an early check-in! The apartment looked just like the pictures and had plenty of space for 3 of us to stay. The location in Bairro Alto was fantastic and very easy to get around the city. There were many delicious restaurants, bars, and shops within a 5 minute walk. The apartment in on the 4th floor so just be prepared to walk up the stairs with your suitcases. Bairro Alto can be a loud area at night but we were pleasantly surprised that this street was less noisy than other areas. I definitely recommend staying in this apartment!
