Bright and spacious 70m2 apartment with charming 19th century features (high ceilings). Nicely located in the historical centre of Montpellier, a short walk from restaurants, cosy squares, cafes, shops and transport links.
Located on the first floor of a 19th century building, our apartment benefits from stunning high ceilings and some antique features. The interior is furnished with both modern and vintage pieces, including industrial lamps and contemporary artwork. Large windows, including three French windows leading to a balcony, make the open plan living and dining area both spacious and sunny. The well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar includes a large retro fridge freezer, washing machine, oven, microwave, orange juice presser and vintage Danish bread slicer. As well as a dining area with wooden table and chairs, there is a lounge with a TV, modern sofa and comfy leather armchair. There is also a folded bed for extra guests.

Interaction with Guests
We most enjoy exchanges with people visiting Montpellier and provide some hints about this beautiful city its well preserved natural environment.
Our apartment is situated in a pedestrianized area of Montpellier, in the historical centre of the city, with winding medieval streets, museums and ancient lavish mansions. The apartment is within walking distance of the stunning Peyrou esplanade (‘the royal square’) with its towering statue of Louis XIV, ‘Arch de Triomphe’, water tower, and the ancient arches of a Roman aqueduct, Les Arceaux. You can walk easily to a variety of great bars, restaurants and shops. For breakfast, head to the nearby bakery for a freshly baked croissant, or in the evening enjoy a delicious cocktail at Papa Doble, one of our favourite bars. At the weekend you can walk easily to an organic market at Les Arceaux, or browse the flea market in the beautiful garden at Peyrou, just a two minute walk away. A few other places we recommend are: Chez Boris for its great meat dishes, La Morue for fresh seafood, Chez Framboize for its delicious Mediterranean food and cosy atmosphere; L’Heure Bleue for its tasty coffee and antiques; and Times café, a great café just a one minute walk from the apartment.
To explore the city there are several bus stops outside the apartment building, as well as a tram stop a two minute walk away.
Unauthorized access to vehicles, but parking Foch is 100m, 400m to the station.
Several bus lines pass down the apartment, the tram is 200m.
Other Things to Note
Pets: to be discussed with the owners.
This is a really lovely apartment with some very pleasing creative touches. We were there on business and so didn't spend much time in it, but next time we will try to as it's such a comfortable space. From a functional point of view, the heating, lighting and hot water are all of a very high standard and if you are prone to feeling insecure you can relax as the front door would not be out of place in a bank vault! The kitchen is very well equipped. The location was perfect for us: both for Centre Ville and the Parc des Expos (the direct tram stop was just a few minutes stroll away). The negatives? RIEN.
Aveline' s apartment is light, spacious, modern, comfortable and in a really convenient location in Montpellier. Perfect for our stay which we enjoyed enormously. Such a lovely city. I would recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Montpellier. Check in and out was easy with Sigrid there to assist. We wanted for nothing. Thank you for having us Aveline !
This apartment made us feel like living in a luxurious presidential suite in a 5* hotel. It is so well equipped and very thoughtfully planned. We felt like the owners left nothing to chance. And you can't ask for a better location. We were slightly unlucky because there were road works right in front of the apartment, but the windows were very good, and the noise wasn't too intolerable. But otherwise, this place did feel magical.
The apartment really is exactly like it looks in the pictures. Very cozy and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. The location is great, close to bars, restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Unfortunately we could not meet the hosts, but they were very nice via e-mail. They sent someone to give us the keys when we arrived.
The one thing that we noticed in the apartment as soon as we came in was a very heavy smell, and it didn't change during the 4 nights of our stay. Everything was good, up until the check out time. We had agreed on a time for check out but later we realized that my mother had to leave later, so we asked if we could do the check out a bit later. The woman who was going to do the checkout refused and I had to leave my mother (who speaks no english or french) waiting on the street with luggage for 4 hours while I was in class. There was lack of understanding and it was sad to have ended our stay like that, (specially after having paid such a high price for the stay). Apart from that everything was great.
Surprised about Amy's statement, we quickly checked the flat, as this was the very first time we were given such feed back ... We were reassured as nothing could be noticed, neither by us, our others guests and also because Amy's never mentioned anything to us before her departure. About the departure schedule, it is only because of the very late notice for its delaythat it was unfortunately most difficult to handle it, despite efforts made to accomodate Amy, it was impossible to meet her latest expectations. Hoping her stay was nevertheless pleasant.
