Interaction with Guests
We most enjoy exchanges with people visiting Montpellier and provide some hints about this beautiful city its well preserved natural environment.
Our apartment is situated in a pedestrianized area of Montpellier, in the historical centre of the city, with winding medieval streets, museums and ancient lavish mansions. The apartment is within walking distance of the stunning Peyrou esplanade (‘the royal square’) with its towering statue of Louis XIV, ‘Arch de Triomphe’, water tower, and the ancient arches of a Roman aqueduct, Les Arceaux. You can walk easily to a variety of great bars, restaurants and shops. For breakfast, head to the nearby bakery for a freshly baked croissant, or in the evening enjoy a delicious cocktail at Papa Doble, one of our favourite bars. At the weekend you can walk easily to an organic market at Les Arceaux, or browse the flea market in the beautiful garden at Peyrou, just a two minute walk away. A few other places we recommend are: Chez Boris for its great meat dishes, La Morue for fresh seafood, Chez Framboize for its delicious Mediterranean food and cosy atmosphere; L’Heure Bleue for its tasty coffee and antiques; and Times café, a great café just a one minute walk from the apartment.
To explore the city there are several bus stops outside the apartment building, as well as a tram stop a two minute walk away.
Unauthorized access to vehicles, but parking Foch is 100m, 400m to the station.
Several bus lines pass down the apartment, the tram is 200m.
