Guests call it magical
Guests describe this stay as magical, with many booking repeat visits year after year
Welcome to this beautiful 360 acre cattle ranch just outside of Yosemite National Park. Homesteaded in 1892 by our great great great grandfather. Seven generations later my family continues our love affair with this land and its mountains and canyons and oakwood savannahs and of course, the river. Come and experience the magic we call home.
The space
Enjoy the people that you love in an old cabin built on the edge of the Fresno River just 25 minutes from the Mariposa Grove Entrance to Yosemite National Park. The old cabin has flaws and imperfections but we love it just the same. So will you. Privacy and nature abound. A most relaxing space to quiet down and rest. Best sleep of your life. The lull of the river will relax you into a deep slumber upon colorful linens. Romantic. Secluded. Beautiful. Two indoor bedrooms and one great covered screened-in sleeping porch. The screened porch is the best room in the house we think. A wonderful sleep. Even in winter with the flannel sheets, electric blankets and thick comforter so many of our guests sleep out there. Others choose to sleep in doors. Both are wonderfully cozy.
Spend the afternoon exploring the Fresno river, nap on the porch, make soup, read books, play board games, rest and enjoy the people you love.
And then there are the mornings on the deck over the river which are magical. A plethora of wildlife abounds.
360 acres of hiking through old mining country with its rivers, springs, mountains and canyons. All families are welcome here. A safe and wonderful place to explore. Enjoy watching the cows and horses meander by on their way to the river to drink.
Welcome!
Guest access
We always email guests detailed instructions and directions upon booking. On your arrival day, we will greet you at the main house of the ranch and take you over to the cabin and get you settled in, answer your questions and then leave you to your peace and privacy.
Other things to note
Fully loaded kitchen, stove, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil and dish washing liquid. Small Gas BBQ Grill. Breakfast is not included.
Excellent WiFi/Internet able to support Zoom/ Wifi calls and work from home. Land line available with free unlimited domestic long distance calls.
We supply bed linens, towels, hand soap and body wash. Be nice to the old septic system. No baby wipes, feminine products or diapers down the toilet.
This is a place for people who love the outdoors, nature and wildlife. It is rustic and beautiful. The cabin is old and quirky and wonderful and comfortable but has little scars and flaws. Just love it anyway.

From the host
The mountains. The canyons. The river. The secluded swimming holes. The wildlife. The mines. The exploration. Waking up to a bold cup of coffee on the edge of the river. The clean beautiful air. You will soon understand, it is like no other place on earth. Welcome.
