About this listing
The cottage with a kitchenette and full bath is on a one-acre lot with a small orchard of mango, lime, lemon, orange and avocado trees and a beautifully manicured landscape. The cottage is separate from the main house, so your privacy is assured.
The cottage is in Kona coffee country. There is peace and quite, the sounds of nature, an abundance of flora and an amazing coastline view.
Full use of the cottage, parking area and orchard. Enjoy the fruit when ripe.

About the Host, Jim
My partner Terry and I have been coming to South Kona for 15 years. We finally broke down and bought our property early in 2013. We have a 30-tree mango orchard on our one-acre lot which sits about 800' above Kealakekua Bay.
We fell in love with South Kona and the expansive views of the coast and the sea - as well as the myriad of activities the area presents. We bought a lot very close to the house and cottage and are considering expanding the orchard.
Jim is retired, and Terry continues to run his own freight forwarding business. We have a dog named Kona (we didn't name her - she came to us with that moniker!) who loves to play with tug toys.
I am a big hiker and I can steer you to some great spots on the island. I also study Hawaiian and Hawaiian culture at our local Community College. I am becoming very well-versed in matters of Hawaiiana. I was a social worker, a therapist, a professor, a theatre director and an actor.
Terry travels quite a bit for his work, so he is not always on the island.
We enjoy meeting new people and swapping tales of travels.
