Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Great stay overall. Nice bed, strong wifi, quiet neighborhood and close to nearby tech companies in Palo Alto and Mountain View. Conveniently located near Walgreens and coffee shops. Excellent communication with the host. I would stay here again.

  • It's my second time at Ying and Sherry's. Very pleasant, just like the last time.

    March 2014
  • Great overall experience, would highly recommend!

    February 2014
  • A bit too far for walking to downtown Palo Alto (Coupa Cafe, Creamery, etc.), but otherwise was lovely. If I had had a car, it would have been a 5star. Quiet, private, comfortable, fabulous value.

    November 2013
  • This was my first experience on airb&b and it was so wonderful. The room was cozy. Ying and Sherry were so kind and accommodating. There was plenty of space. Everything was immaculate, fresh towels, and wonderful conversation with Ying.

    November 2013
  • Ying is a great host and very friendly. Quiet save location, tidy room. Very flexible check-in and out. Bathroom need to be shared.

    October 2013
  • Ying was welcoming and gentle and the home was quiet, clean and very comfortable...just what I was needing after leaving my family, friends and home and coming from half way across the world to embark on my studies here at Sofia University.

    September 2013
  • Mr Ying was an extremely lovely host. He was educated, meticulously explained everything to us, let us use his kitchen and microwave and always provided us with fresh clean towels. Not only this is a great house, he is also a great person. Will definitely stay there again.

  • 1st the good. very convenient location. room adequate. separate entrance

Now the bad. entrance had fallen fruit on walkway. not pretty. room not tidy. Bath shared with teenage girl---not pretty.

tea bag, but no cup nor tea pot.

All negative above can be fixed in about 10 minutes of care and oversight.

    September 2013
  • I had a good time at Ying and Sherry's. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood. Only drawback is that it's a bit far from Stanford campus, if you don't drive or ride a bicycle. It's about 30 mins walk to Caltrain and an hour to campus (which i did for a week!), but the walk was pleasant enough.
For a devoted tea drinker, I especially love the fact that there is an electric water heater in the kitchen...
Oh, You'll have to find a laundromat to do your washing too.
