Because Airbnb does not provide a mechanism to provide you with a separate receipt for these charges, you will not receive an itemized receipt showing the amount of TOT taxes you paid. If you would like a receipt, please let us know.
We have a Guest Guide that provides information about the house, and local activities. We ask our guests to review this and follow instructions for use of the house and its amenities. This is a no smoking property.
Family friendly indeed! Great experience for our multi-family stay (and our small children!). We were pleasantly surprised with the open layout of the living spaces that is difficult to capture in photos. Great combo of open floor plan and two outdoor deck spaces was perfect for our group. There are three deck spaces, but we used two because they were both sun-facing with great views, and, were able to contain the kids (without an adult having to chase or keep away from ledges, steps, etc =) while adults enjoyed sitting on same patio. As for location - close enough to get to where you want to be, but far enough to be relaxing and able to stroll around. One minor mix-up with the property was very quickly fixed once owners were made aware.
This house is as beautiful as it looks. It is clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Our extended family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed several days during Christmas vacation, and it was perfect for us. The location was close to the freeway, to the beach, stores, and several good restaurants. Derick provides a helpful manual for renters.
We had a wonderful family reunion at this home in Del Mar. The hosts were very accommodating and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The home was well appointed with everything we needed--plenty of space, beautiful views, a well stocked kitchen & even a pass to Torrey Pines State Park. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to return sometime in the future.
Great time & wonderful memories!! Thank you Derick & Family.
Beautiful location at Torrey Pines. Homeowners generously lent out their beach pass and surf gear. House was as expected, a little old but extremely functional.
My children, grandchildren and I loved our stay at the House in Del Mar. It truly is a family friendly home in a great location. The view from both of the balconies was captivating and the day pass to Torrey Pines was fantastic. We had no problem visiting relatives in Encinitas and Poway. The hosts were very accommodating and provided us with a pack n play for one of the babies. They have plenty of beach toys and stuff to use for a trip to the beach. The neighborhood is beautiful. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the kitchen and living space were very comfortable. We would happily stay here again if we all come back to the area.
Communication was very easy and the house was just as described. Very close to the beautiful torrey pines state park and not far from downtown del mar. Comfortable for two families and great for even small children. We hope to stay here again.
Wonderful large airy home just 1 mile from a Torrey Pines state beach (an easy walk) with nice easy waves and not too many people. The house was very comfortable. We thank the family very much for our time in your Ohma's home. Very easy access to freeway- an easy 15 minute drive to La Jolla Shores and only about 2 miles from downtown Del Mar— lots of great places to eat. We enjoyed the Americana Restaurant and Roberto's Taqueria and their good fish tacos. The bikes could use some love to be truly useable. There was one we could use. There were plenty of wet suits, great swim fins and one good boogie board with leash, two others without. We had a wonderful stay: we hope to return!
Our parents built this house in the 80's and we three children want to keep it in the family. We are in California (two in the Sacramento area and one in the Los Angeles area) and we all have have children here in California too. One of us has family in Carlsbad that are available in case of emergencies.
I am into computers so I am handling the listings on the internet. I work at a major RV rental company based in Los Angeles and spend much of my time on computer related projects. All of my family is the the LA area and we enjoy getting together for most holidays and a yearly retreat (our last retreat was in Hawaii). My wife is from the Netherlands so we have a connection with Europe and we usually vacation there to visit family every few years. We plan to use AirBnB the next time we visit (Dordtrecht looks really nice).
We enjoy the beach and hiking in Torrey Pines State Park. Three of my family members and two of my sister's are avid surfers. They enjoy a trip to Del Mar as well. The house is full of surfing accessories, bikes, and beach gear.
We hope to have families visit and enjoy the balmy weather, the beach, and the San Diego area.
