The Space


WHAT ? A spacious 650sqft one-bedroom garden level apartment.

WHERE ? The Upper Lonsdale neighbourhood of North Vancouver, in the lush mountainside forest approximately 20 minutes drive from Downtown (approx 30-40 mins by transit also available). Hiking and mountain biking on the doorstep, ski hills only 10 minutes away. For additional location info please see 'Location' below or contact us.

As a general rule of thumb our minimum rental period is usually 7 days. However, if the booking request is short notice (within 30 days) or fits between or abuts another existing booking we may make exceptions. Please feel free to ask about your particular circumstances.

APR 8 - 14 = Minimum 1 night stay. $99 for one night or posted rate for 2+ nights.
APR 24 - 30 = Minimum 1 night stay. $99 for one night or posted rate for 2+ nights.
MAY 6 - 9 = Minimum 1 night stay. $99 for one night or posted rate for 2+ nights.

The location of our suite is quite unique compared to most other listings on Airbnb.
We are NOT a Downtown party pad and we don't have any bars within walking distance - if this is what you're looking for this suite is unlikely to suit you.
We DO have hiking and mountain biking right out the front door, literally minutes to skiing, backcountry hiking, kayaking & sailing, Regional and Provincial parks yet still only approximately 20 minutes by car to Downtown - if this is what you're looking for then stay awhile, you'll love it !

Lynn Canyon Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and of course Downtown are all accessible by public transit. For some of the parks and recreational amenities you will find it easier to have a car, however we are directly on the '230' bus route which connects to the Seabus for Downtown transit access (takes approximately 30-40 minutes using transit from the suite to Downtown). Please contact us for the transit authority website together with any questions you may have about getting around the city by bus, seabus and skytrain.

The nearest regular amenities to us (pub & liquor store, grocery store, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, dry cleaners, 7-11 convenience store and gas station) are centred on Lonsdale Avenue around Queens Avenue. This is approximately 10-15 minutes walk to......but a little longer back as it's up hill !

My partner and I live above on the main floor of the house, we are on hand whenever you need us but otherwise leave you the peace & privacy you desire for your stay.

We are experienced hosts having rented this suite to visitors, new residents of the city and contract worker for a number of years. We are very knowledgeable about the city and southern half of the Province, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about this suite or planning for your trip, however big or small the questions may seem - we usually respond within the hour from 8am-10pm (Pacific).

If you love nature and want to stay in a peaceful private self-contained apartment in a lush forest setting yet still convenient to the city please get in touch, we'd love to have you stay !

Guest Access


The guests will be renting their own private apartment so they will have their own living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, laundry and of course bedroom.
None of the inside accommodation is shared with anybody else.
Parking is widely available on the street although we do allow access to park right outside the apartment entrance for loading/unloading on arrival and departure.

Interaction with Guests


I will communicate prior to your arrival providing address, directions and access arrangements as well as answer any pre-arrival questions.
Upon arrival or soon after I will usually call down to the apartment to say 'hi', check you've settled in OK and answer any questions that you may have.
After that I will be absolutely fully available by phone, email or text should you require assistance but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your vacation in peace.

The Neighborhood


We love being surrounded by lush green forest, a beautiful park with a river across the road, mountains at the end of the street yet within such easy access to Downtown by car or transit and just minutes to the North Shores main tourist attractions.
Our location provides a slightly 'country' feel right here within the city and for us provides a perfect balance of practical city living while natures recreational opportunities are on our doorstep.
Within just a few minutes by car are :
Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain and Mt Seymour, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, Mt Fromme Mountain Biking, Lonsdale Quay, Deep Cove, Lighthouse Park and much much more !

Getting around


There is ample street parking available right outside the suite. You will have no difficulty parking here, guaranteed !

However, we are also served by the '230' bus route which runs right past the suite from early till late and provides direct access to Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus for Downtown.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time in Adrian's clean and spacious suite in North Vancouver. We live in Vancouver and were looking for a quiet getaway to simply relax and do some outdoor exploring and hiking, and Adrian's place provided just that! The suite was fabulous and had all that we needed, including little kitchen extras like ziplock bags and coffee, and the bathroom had mountains of the softest towels we've ever had.

    We went everywhere by foot during our stay, exploring the scenic neighbourhoods, the many rugged and beautiful hiking trails nearby, and enjoyed local restaurants that were about a half hour walk away. Lovely!

    Adrian was available upstairs when we had a question to ask, and provided several phone numbers in case we needed to contact him when he was out. He was very friendly and helpful, and we definitely recommend his suite.

  • Adrian's home was an amazing stay, and a perfect getaway for tourists and Vancouverites alike. My girlfriend and I loved the furnishing of the apartment and it was very roomy. I highly recommend anyone to stay here if they would like to explore the outdoors of Vancouver much more.

    Adrian was very accommodating and organized. The stay was pleasant and might I add that he has a VERY well stocked kitchen. Great for people who prefer home cooked meals.

    I would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend it!

  • Adrian is an awesome host. He seems to be made for Hospitality and Real estate. We had a personalized envelope with our names on it (for keys) when we got to the B&B.

    The house we stayed in was perfect in that it was spacious, fully equipped, functional and very neat. Adrian was very accessible, communicative and friendly. He provided us with a great write up on the many attractions in Vancouver and Whistler.

    His guidance made it easy for us to plan our trip. We had booked for 2 days, he reminded us that we had missed booking for an additional day and took care of it all thereby making our booking changes seamless.

    The apartment is conveniently located near - Cleveland Dam, Capilano bridge, Lynn canyon park and has great seabus access to downtown.

    Our trip was like a dream (sans the rain) and Adrian was instrumental in it. Thanks Adrian! Keep it up!!

  • We have a great time at Adrian's garden suite. It is a wonderfully restful place, with everything provided for, very clean and tidy. Adrian was very helpful with information on N. Van, and the communication was great. Even though there are no shops nearby, it is not far from most places. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

  • We just wanted to say that we loved staying in this place and will miss it. It's in a beautiful area. - Princess Park is incredible!

    We also appreciated Adrian's sense of style in this unit, beautiful furniture, which gave us an idea of what to have in our home. I really liked the wooden armchair! So very comfortable. A lot of the furniture is from Oxford in the UK.

    The house itself is almost opposite a bus stop, and even if you don't use the bus, Lonsdale is within walking distance.

    We really enjoyed our stay in such a warm homely place, it felt like home for the 2 weeks we were there and we always felt welcomed. Will definitely stay back there again, if ever we need to.

    Adrian's also got a lovely place near Palm Springs, which we intend to use when we want some sunshine and desert stars.

  • Excellent space, great location, bus serviced the area right to the sea bus into downtown quiet loaction, fully stocked apartment, hst was wonderful and had everything ready and available. get a daily transit ticket for $10 at the shppers drug store and you can travel all day in Vancouver, buses run every half hour until late. If i return to Vancouver i shall gladly come back.
