The space
THE CABIN: Luxurious bath sheets are provided for wrapping up after a soothing soak in the tub. The living room includes a foldout couch and a cozy leather reclining lounger. Also, starting this Winter the Cabin will feature a new Queen TWINKLE LUXE HYBRID mattress with down and down-free pillow options. Evenings can be spent playing board games around the dining or coffee table after preparing a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Guests have remarked that the unit is so comfortable, that it’s hard to leave after a day of biking, hiking, or skiing. Despite various forms of heat and fluffy comforters to keep you warm, the woodstove and fire pit are not available for use due to changing insurance regulations and concerns about wildfires.

THE PROPERTY: Located just steps away from Town Park, Clark's Market, and Majestic Theater, the Cabin offers easy access to the Free Shuttle Mt Crested Butte Ski Resort. It is within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and bars but far enough to remain quiet at night. With 2 off-street parking spaces, you can also leave your car(s)parked for your entire stay.

PETS: Please state the breed, age, and weight of your pet in your inquiry. The Airbnb pet fee is quoted per dog per stay when included in the inquiry.

While kenneling is preferred, it is not required- Excessive barking, scratching, or allowing pets on furniture is prohibited, and guests may be asked to retrieve their animal. The backyard belongs to the upstairs unit and is not available to guests or their pets.

NUMBER OF GUESTS: The foldout couch can comfortably accommodate two children or 1 smaller adult and will be stocked with sheets, blankets, and towels when included in the reservation. Please inform us if there are only two guests, but the additional sleeping space is needed.

PATIOS & YARD: Due to the extreme winter climate, porch furniture and side yard spaces under the slide areas are not available from when the snow starts until the snow melts! Boards will be installed on the front and back patios to stop snow from obstructing the walkways from Octoberish to Mayish, but different dates every year! Portable items will be provided for guests to still enjoy the views during transitional periods.  The backyard is not for guest use. It belongs to the other unit.

NATURE OF A CABIN-We are a historic log cabin, but an updated and very clean structure. We are not a brand-new, shiny hotel at the Airport. It has some quirks here and there, but then again, so does Crested Butte. lol

Guest access
The entire front yard and east-facing front porch with a great view of Mt Crested Butte, all year round. In the summer months, Guests can enjoy their own west-facing private fenced 20 ft X 10 ft flagstone patio with dining furniture and lounging chairs. They may or may not be the same sets as the photos. The backyard is not available to Guests or Guest pets.

Other things to note
Bikes, snow gear, and footwear are not allowed inside the Cabin. Skis and boards can be stored in the attached and secure mudroom.

We provide a large SMART TV with preloaded Apps so that you may use your Amazon, HULU, Netflix Apps on our wireless internet.

We have worked hard to make the Cabin cute and available at a great price, so we would appreciate it being left in the same order and furniture arrangement as when you found it. You will be sent check-out instructions upon departure that we hope you will follow. We charge less than the cost for cleaning fees to turn the property, so excessive cleaning from dirty dishes, trash about the unit, or labor to rearrange furniture will be charged to the deposit. Neighborhood highlights

We are in a great part of CB with easy access to FREE BUS to the MT and around Town and Valley. It is the best possible arrangement and is just steps away from Town Park, Free Ski Shuttle& Clark's Market. Elk Avenue and all the stores and restaurants are just three blocks over. The Cabin is just close enough all the action to go out easily without a vehicle, but far enough away to be quiet at closing time.

RESORT LIVING is the life for me! I grew up in Horseshoe Bay, Texas - a laid back lake town just outside of Austin - full of summer fun on the water with family and friends. I discovered Crested Butte in 1994 and have spent many years here, having that same great fun with good people but instead in the snow and hiking the amazing wildflower trails. There were a few years away, attending George Washington University, where I earned a Master's Degree in Sustainable Development from the School of Business and Public Policy Management and attended two years at the University of Denver School of Law. But I couldn't stay away for long and returned to start my own real estate brokerage, Colorado Legacy Properties and continue as an investor, property manager and proud, but perpetually renovating homeowner. My heart has been pulled back to the Texas Beach with some wonderful places to offer guests on gorgeous South Padre Island. Make sure to check out all my listings in both places.
