Thank you for considering HostelAlternative in Honolulu!
Great stay and great service for the great deal! Plus people were really friendly!
What is more, the place has nice access to food 1 min to 7 and 11 where you can enjoy nice Japanese food, and 3 min to supermarket!
I want to come back again.
Great location with on site parking available, 7-11 and other grocery are right across street. No air-con, but no big deal since fan will do its job. Richard is very easy to talk with, I customized my stay periods with no problem. Very satisfied.
Richard's accoamodition is very good located. It's a high amenity-district.
The beach is easy to reach and so is down town. Richard is very helpful and Maria meals are from heaven. There it was like to be in a wonderful dream. Thank you very much and Happy New Year.-
the place was ok,to me i like walking/running it was central near shops and it had every thing in it that i need it,it was good for what i paid for,if i have to go back to honolulu thats wear i will stay. :)
Nice room~~~nice bed~~~~everything is nice~~~~I mus come again one day!!!!
This is a good place to stay in if you're in the island for errands or business, and you want an inexpensive place. It's very accessible to grocery stores, churches, shopping centers and bus stops. It's even near a bike shop if you're interested in renting one. Place is around 15-20 mins bus ride from downtown honolulu. It's is good and the people are nice.
I didn't have chance to see Richard during my stay. But the other staff of Plumeria House was very friendly and welcoming. The room was ready to my arrival. I would be glad to come back again.
my first time ever at a hostel..ended up being a lot more then I expected..Richard and his staff were extremely accomodating. the property was comfortable.saturday bbq dinners made it all the more comfortable..if I ever have the need to I will make it a point to schedule my stay at the plumeria....
This place is well run and a totally comfortable room and apartment. I was upgraded to a larger double room and it was secure, clean had a small fridge in the room and a tv and double bed. This is the type of place I would live at long term mainly because of the affordability and it just feels like a regular flat/apartment rather than a holiday room or hostel. Very close to a major supermarket, a 10 minute stroll to Ala Moana beach park which is never crowded, and is surrounded by park land instead of high rises, I stayed in the 5 bedroom apartment and had no problems at all. The place is an older style block of flats but everything is well maintained and great value for money. It's still quite far from Waikiki but i usually caught the bus for $2.50 from across the road.
Friendly place, within walking distance from just about everything in Honolulu! Richard, the rest of the staff, and the other tenants were great, very helpful and welcoming. Would stay here again, especially traveling alone like I did. The only hitch the entire trip was around the office hours - plan ahead and you will not have a problem.
