The host was very understanding and patient with us the whole stay, and the people there are all friendly. It was a great place to stay, and definitely somewhere that I would come back to stay at again.
The hostel itself is very nice and clean. It has everything you might need (towels, kitchen, washing machine etc.) and my room even had a bathroom attached although not all of them have. There are buses close that can take you Downtown or up to Hollywood. The area itself looks a little bit sketchy, but I felt still safe the whole time I was there. The best thing is the outdoor area, where there is always someone there and you can meet some pretty cool people.
I had a great stay at the hostel. The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to get into the building, Kellie's instructions were clear and to the point. A nice simple place and very affordable :)
Great big house that's very clean and homey. Lots of common living space to hang out and the kitchen was awesome to cook in.
It is my best experience living in a hostel. The room is clean and cozy. Kellie is really nice. And the public transportation is convenience.
Gramercy Place was such an incredible experience. Centrally located, clean and cozy. The character of the old mansion was there in the bedrooms and the library. Kellie and her staff were very friendly.
The downstairs kitchen had everything you could possibly think of cooking with (far above the standard of any hostel I had previously been to).
The only thing that was very frustrating (and out of Kellie's control) was parking. It was so hard to find parking in the evening and street cleaning, special zones ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars in tickets.
I would recommend Gramercy Place in a heart beat, I would just suggest you take the bus. I will definitely come back and stay there.
