Interaction with Guests
I meet guests and give them an introduction to the property and answer any questions they may have. I am always available by telephone should they need any help with regards the apartment or suggestions with regards travel within the are of Dublin or Wicklow.
There is always something happening in Bray. There is a fabulous month long festival called Summerfest, it is the Bray Jazz festival with bands and a huge carnival along the beach for the month of July, and there is also the Groove music festival in the famous Kilruddery Estate grounds not too far from the apartment where you will be staying, so there is something for everyone.
A selection of buses and the Dart train service can bring you in all directions throughout the counties of Wicklow and Dublin city centre. Dublin city centre is only 30 minutes by Dart and 40 minutes by bus. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and buses are only a 2 minute walk from the apartment.
I want you to have the best time possible and to tell your friends about the great time you had in Ireland.
Getting into the flat was easy as Frankie kindly let us in. The flat spreads over 3 floors of which the two upper floors are outstanding: spacious, comfortable, warm with a view out to the Wicklow (?) mountains. Everything worked! Plumbing, electricity, washing machine and most importantly the internet was fast and reliable. The flat is in a central location – 5 minutes to the Super-value supermarket by foot. Yes – I can recommend it and I would stay there again.
Ian's apartment is an amazing space, whether you're a couple, a family, or just a single traveller with a need for plenty of room to spread out. I stayed there for a week and absolutely loved it. The apartment, which is spread over three floors, is a real home from home with everything you'd ever need, whether you're looking to stay for a long weekend or a week or two. All three bedrooms are very spacious, as is the lounge-diner, which has plenty of seating and a lovely balcony. The kitchen is conveniently located off the dining area and is very well equipped, with a full size oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster etc. The apartment also has a washing machine, which I used a couple of times and was a Godsend when I needed to wash a few things after getting caught out in heavy rain. The apartment is very conveniently located, being only a 2-minute walk from the Aircoach bus stop, the bus stops for Greystones and Dublin, and a good Supervalu supermarket. Bray DART station is approx 5 - 7 mins walk away (depending on how fast you walk), as is the seafront and the town's main high street of shops. The apartment itself is located in a quiet residential road, yet only a short walk to everything that Bray has to offer, so even if you don't drive or aren't planning on hiring a car you're still close to everything. I'm a single, middle-aged female but felt very safe in the apartment and would happily recommend it to anyone. I didn't actually get to meet Ian himself as he was away at the time of my stay, but he has always answered messages and queries promptly and courteously. Ian's Mum, who is such a lovely lady, met me on arrival and spent time showing me round the apartment and explained how everything worked etc. One night there was a very bad storm, as a result of which some of the electrical sockets blew. I duly reported this to Ian's Mum and she immediately got onto the electrician who, despite it being a Sunday, promptly came out to the apartment and fixed the problem. I have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years and I can honestly say that Ian and his Mum are two of the most professional, responsive and conscientious owners I have ever met, and as a rental property owner myself it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. I plan on staying at the apartment again next time I am in Bray and am very happy to recommend the property.
My family had a wonderful time and loved this apartment. We had plenty of room to gather or go off on our own if desired. It is beautifully decorated. This property is very accessible to the Bray attractions and train to Dublin. Same train system takes you all over Ireland.
Ian is a sweetheart. He was very kind and accommodating to us all. We had an amazing time in Ireland and look forward to returning.
Notre hôte nous a adressé des messages avant notre arrivée pour être sûr de pouvoir être présent et nous accueillir. Ce que nous avons apprécié. Appartement conforme aux photos et très agréable et bien situé.
We had a wonderful time staying in the Penthouse. It totally exceeded our expectations. Ian met us a few blocks away and had us follow him there and he made sure that we got off to a good start. He was very responsive. He made sure that all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. The place is well kept and very functional and has all the amenities. It is close to shopping and dining. It was a very good experience. We whole heartedly recommend it.
Ian is a very accommodating host and a pleasure to deal with.
The apartment is ideally situated for visiting the Wicklow area (approximately a 45 minute drive) and Powerscourt (approximately 20 minutes by car). The apartment is very spacious and has the essentials available.

About the Host, Ian
Welcome to my home. My beautiful apartment is by the sea in the coastal town of Bray. There are many great artisan shops, restaraunts and cosy bars nearby which I would love you to experience.
The train is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment, and you can get into DubIin city in 30 minutes. Alternatively the bus is only 2 minutes away and will take you into Dublin city centre in about 45 minutes.
My apartment is cosy and tranquil,a truly peaceful and private setting. I have rented it many times before to both actors and producers who have been working in Ardmore film studios.
I hope you enjoy my penthouse apartment, and I hope it reflects a sense of relaxation and calm for you.
