Quaint little cottage nestled 20 min from Gulf Shores Beach. Very quiet neighborhood, right down the street (we walked there) from a great restaurant called Jesse's. Overall great value for the price.

The Yellow Cottage is nestled in Magnolia Springs, a beautiful small community made more lovely by the giant live oaks. The house is also a "stones throw" from Jesse's, a highly recommended restaurant. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place. The host is meets you on arrival and lives next door is a lovely lady who is extremely welcoming and helpful with any questions or needs.

When I arrived the host was on site which was a great help getting oriented. The cottege was full of amenities. The floor plan of the cottege was just perfect. It gave me a sense of more space than was actually there. Every morning I opened all the blinds and had a landscaped view of the quiet oak lined neighborhood. It was very quiet. A rare leaf blower or dog barking - as I said rare.

We really enjoyed the charming southern hospitality of the yellow cottage in Magnolia Springs. The house is very comfortable and well-kept and just a short drive to all the hustle and bustle of Foley and Gulf Shores, Alabama. We much preferred staying off the beaten path and driving a little to the beaches and other attractions. Our favorite beach was the very nearly deserted, but beautiful beach near Fort Morgan. The Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve is a good place for a walk. Next time we would love to take the kayaks out into the back channels and quiet rivers leading to the Gulf.

We were going to visit our son and his family that we had not seen in awhile. Magnolia Springs yellow cottage was the perfect spot. It was peaceful and lovely inside and out. We would definitely visit again. It is out of the hustle and bustle but yet close enough you can be anywhere in just a few minutes. WE LOVED IT.

This neighborhood is so lovely we did not want to leave. The cottage is in a wonderful historical little town and we were more than comfortable here. The beds are super comfy, we had everything we needed in the kitchen to have snacks (or prepare a whole meal), coffee, plenty of towels/linens, and also a fast internet connection which was important as we were working for part of our stay. It is a great rental and we would definitely return! The cicadas at night were like a symphony playing just for us.....the huge live oaks trees are a canopy over the street, and sitting on the front porch with our coffee each morning was a great way to start our days. The location was perfect for exploring outward, too, to other towns. We didn't want to leave!

Career of 30 years as a product designer. I started collecting resort property in 2000 using my eye for design with a story to tell. I starting hosting before that in the 70's with a Victorian resort hotel in the ozark mountins. So I guess you could say I've been serving up rooms with a view over half my life. I believe in the traveler and respect their needs for the comforts of home, cleanliness, and adventurous delight. I find pleasure in presenting my guest with good art, unexpected visuals, more amenities than home, sprinkled with a few hidden treasures that spark one's imagination or take you to a special place in your mind's eye.
