Bordighera is a walker’s paradise.
With its Argentina’s Promenade, inaugurated by Evita Péron in 1947, is one of the longest of the region with more than 2 km of rectilinear seaside.
Situated as it is on the west tip of the Italian Riviera , which lies between the Ligurian Sea and the mountain chain, Bordighera is a small jewel, the climate here is warmer than in the rest of the country. For the holiday maker, this gives a longer season of enjoyment. The flowers are in bloom the most part of the year, and the green-grey colours of the Olive trees ….are everywhere!
Hill and dale, sea, river, lake… make an ever-changing pattern, with the mimosa's and bougainvillea’s flowers blooming everywhere.
Ours..is a quite, nice and bright apartment beach front, with wonderful sea view, 3 bedrooms, livingroom and kitchen open space, bathroom with hydromassage.
Located very near to the Bordighera railway station (5 minutes by walk) and the shops (2 supermarkets just around the corner), In the heart of Bordighera, that is a nice small village 20 km far from Monaco Montecarlo and the Cote d'Azur (France), 40 km from Nice (international airport).
The bus stop is just down the street, there is a free parking area in front of the house where you can leave the car if you need!
we are only one hour by train from Limone (nice place in the mountain, well-known for the winter sports).
Nearby, you can also find many characteristic and charming small medieval villages in the inlands with Typical food and wine, as Dolceacqua! Or Perinaldo with its astronomical observatory where we oftenly go with friends and kids in the summer evenings to observe the moon...and Jupiter in transit.
For the relax lover.. a good chance is to spend a day in Pigna, and its Spa (25 min by car or by bus)
Moreover, Ventimiglia, with more than 2000 years of history and archeological sites..(museums, cave paintings of Balzi Rossi, roman amphitheatre and thermal baths, Thomas Hanbury's botanic gardens).
Another wonderful place is Rocchetta Nervina, 45 minutes by car or bus, with its spectacular lakes, where you can swim or do canyoing!!!!!
The Mercantour National Park (in France) is only one hour by train or car, a great place where to go in the summer for a pic-nic, or a quite walk.
and..of course, S.Paul de Vence, one hour by car from home, is one of the nicest place in the Cote d' Azur..Chagall, Matisse lived there.
Bordighera is a nice small city on the Mediterranean sea, (in front of us...the whales sanctuary! boats leave from Sanremo-Imperia-Monaco and Nice 2-3 times per week, offering whale watching!) very loved for its calm, its nature, its bland climate and its colours...
Claude Monet lived here...and here did some of his marvellous paintings.

“What you see is what you get” that is how I could best describe Lilian’s place. A nice room with a great sea view. You smoothly integrate into the lives of Lilian and her son Simone. The apartment is a cosy place with wonderful light. Lilian is the type of host that is really giving guests the space they need. However she is there when you are in need of information.
Walking her dog is a great excuse to go out and enjoy the elegant village of Bordighera. I loved my stay.
We accidentally got off the train too early, so Lilian picked us up from a station two towns away. I don't recommend doing that, but it just goes to show how kind and understanding she is! She had good recommendations and provided an atmosphere that allowed us to relax in Bordighera. Plus she served a wonderful breakfast!
I really enjoyed my holiday on Lilian´s home it was a very warm welcome. The see view is sooo beautiful the room was clean and calm.
This location can be really recommended to everybody the breakfast Lilian has offered was very good and I enjoyed it while I had a view on the see.
And if you arrive with car you don´t have problems with parking, there is a big parking space infront of the beach.
Lilian was lovely, met me on arrival, gave me keys and showed me where everything was. Gave me the name of a restaurant just down the road where I had a wonderful pasta, and gave me a lovely breakfast each morning.
The neighbourhood was most interesting, and I found it so easy to get around, with a bus stop less than 5 mins away, I ventured in both directions, Ventimiglia to San Remo exploring and shopping.
The sound of the waves on the beach lulled me to sleep each evening. The sunrise and sunsets from my bedroom window were delightful. I would recommend if you just want a room for the night this is a great economical place to stay. I enjoyed my three days here. Thanks Lilian
Lilian was quick to communicate and extremely kind, outgoing and flexible - even with a last-minute booking.
The location of the property is great - just across the street from the beach, and a block or two away from intercity train and bus service.
The room and home were tidy and with a nice personality.
Lilian and her family were wonderful and very welcoming! Bordighera is beautiful and so close to Monoco and Nice - a great stay!

Hello, I'm Lilian, I'm 50 years old, I'm vegan and I live in Bordighera, with my son Simone, (13 years). My daughter Lucrezia, comes and goes from Nice where she's studying History and literature at the university. We share our home with our cat Thomas and our dog (a sweet black cocker spaniel) named Lucky. We have a nice apartment, 30 metres far from the beach, we love animals and nature and we spend our free time riding our 2 horses, meeting friends and making new ones, reading, or watching old movies.
We will be happy to have you as our guests, showing you the sourroundings, giving you some good advice about where to go to taste our tipycal food and wine! (or where to find a a very good italian pizza!)
