Bedroom with single bed and desk.

The Space

We rent out a room in our flat, you would basically live with us. Therefore - if you are interested to book with us - make sure that there is a profile picture and write a bit about yourself. Then it's also no problem if you have no references yet.
The flat (originally three bedrooms) is close to the railway station; one advantage definitely is that you can walk to the city center it in about twelve minutes. This is very convenient in case you need to leave very early and have no bus. A shopping center is nearby, also a bakery which is open every day from six to six. Everything else you find in the city, in the railway station the shops are also open late and on Sundays (this is not everywhere the case in Switzerland).

The room is a simple single bed room without wardrobe but a hallstand; not a big one though. And there are shelves and a little chest (shelves only) which both are empty for your belongings.
As an addition there also is a mirror now. The room is not huge but the size is comfortable. For short stays convenient, not very much for long ones I guess (no wardrobe). Your room is private, if you rent it I won't go into it (or asking you for permission in case i need something desperately).

Bathroom: Shower in bathtub, separate toilet (as well one in the bathroom).

You are welcome to use the bath room/toilet, living room, kitchen. You may place things in the fridge too and if you feel like cooking something: No problem as long you tidy up again.

Fresh bed linen and towels are included. Also a few coffees the day (Nespresso, enjoy). My hairdryer too. ;)) If you need anything else I will try to provide it, please don't hesitate to ask.

Tidy and rather quiet people are in the right place with me. What doesn't mean I'm not up for a chat.

See you soon in Bern. You are welcome to stay with us and we are looking forward to having you! Any questions? Please don't hesitate to (website hidden): We don't provide breakfast. Please check 'amenieties' for more information. By the way: We don't have a microwave. ;)

  • Really enjoyed my stay here. Corinne was really helpful and it's in a great location near to the old town and lots of useful local ammenities

  • ***HOST*** I've stayed with many hosts, and I've found Corinne to be the most generous of all. She surprised me with a Dr. Pepper – rare in Europe, and I've been craving it for the 3 months I've been away from home. To do laundry, you have to use a special card. I tried to pay her for what I used, and she wouldn't accept it. She even met me at the train station and we walked to her pace from there. She goes above and beyond in many ways.

***APT*** is spotlessly clean. It's obvious she really takes care of her place. Every room is spacious, tidy, and tastefully decorated. There are 1.5 bathrooms. The shower is the highest pressure shower I think I've ever had.

***ROOM*** has a bed and a desk. Very convenient for my computer. There is more than enough storage space for all my things. The bed is very comfortable with a high quality mattress. I slept really well.

***LOCATION*** is within 10 minutes walking distance to the train station and Old Town. The only time I took public transportation was when I went to Zentrum Paul Klee. Even going there is very convenient with the 12 bus all the way to the museum. There are still pleas to eat around the area, which is also nice. And the large grocery store is only a few blocks away.

  • I have spent one week in Corinne's home and it has been a perfect stay. The apartment is in a nice district of Bern close to the centre. You can walk to the Bahnhof (Central Station) or simply take bus 11 or 21 for 2 stops. It is very clean and well furnished. The room has a big window from which you can have a look at the city and has real and comfortable bed, table and wardrobe. That is for the apartment. To this I have to add that Corinne is a perfect host. She has been very friendly from the beginning so that it has been always a pleasure to come back to the apartment, after a day spent outside and talk with her. This doesn't happen very often elsewhere. In a one to five stars ranking I would assign 5 Stars, no doubt!

  • Great, clean and quiet place! Corinne is a great host.
The place is very quiet and yet in the middle of the city, very close to the train station. If you are a single person and need a place in Bern, this is the one to look for.

  • Also the second week I stayed with Corinne I had a really great time at her place. She's a great host, very helpful, friendly and kind. I enjoyed both stays very much and can only recommend her place.

  • Corinne was the most friendly and helpful person you could hope to stay with. She accommodated me last minute and the place was spotless with towels and a delicious chocolate bar laid out for me. She even ran home from work when I ran into appliance issues — too kind. I had a fantastic stay.

The room was more spacious than I expected and the whole apartment is open and has great natural light. It was very comfortable to work from the desk in the room during the day as you look out over a open courtyard-like grassy area between buildings. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook throughout my stay, though note that she does not have a microwave so be prepared to reheat your leftovers the traditional way. :)

The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood location just two blocks from a good sized Migros grocery and the welcoming, English-speaking bar and hangout English Club of Bern. The old town was not very far away and only took about 5 minutes to get to on bicycle. I imagine it would also be relatively easy to walk/bus to without a bike too, though!

  • I had a wonderful time in Corinne's flat. She is all that anyone could hope for in a host. Both she and Krist went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and to help me take care of my travel paperwork. If it were not for them, I would have missed my train. She even met me at the station and accompanied be back upon my departure.

The flat was spotless and very close to a supermarket and restaurants, library, fitness center and public transport. Toe location was perfect for me. I was able to walk to the city center and everywhere else I needed to be.

    Everything was perfect!

  • Super AirBnb Aufenthalt!

I did not love it that much.
I do love my job in the administration of an IT company.
How to describe myself? At home I am: quiet, like reading, watching TV. When I'm out (what I love): communicative, having the odd drink. Basically, I am a reasonable person, but fun also... I live together with my husband Krist. Usually, we get up very early, that is about 5 am. We are as quiet as possible, to let you sleep as long you desire. ;)) I consider myself as an active person and I love to get to know new people. And I love travelling and exploring new countries and cities. I speak German (my mothertongue), quite good English, a bit of French and I understand Italian and Duch (which I meanwhile speak a little too). .
