We are officially registered so you get a Bern Ticket for the duration of your stay! This means free public transport within the city (LIBERO zone 100/101 ).
We rent out a room in our flat, you would basically live with us. Therefore - if you are interested to book with us - make sure that there is a profile picture and write a bit about yourself. Then it's also no problem if you have no references yet.
The flat (originally three bedrooms) is close to the railway station; one advantage definitely is that you can walk to the city centre it in about twelve minutes. This is very convenient in case you need to leave very early and have no bus. A shopping centre is nearby, also a bakery which is open every day from six to six. Everything else you find in the city, in the railway station the shops are also open late and on Sundays (this is not everywhere the case in Switzerland).
The room is a simple single bed room without wardrobe but a hall stand; not a big one though. And there are shelves and a little chest (shelves only) which both are empty for your belongings.
As an addition there also is a mirror now. The room is not huge but the size is comfortable. For short stays convenient, not very much for long ones I guess (no wardrobe). Your room is private, if you rent it I won't go into it (or asking you for permission in case i need something desperately).
Bathroom: Shower in bathtub, separate toilet (as well one in the bathroom).
You are welcome to use the bath room/toilet, living room, kitchen. You may place things in the fridge too and if you feel like cooking something: No problem as long you tidy up again.
Fresh bed linen and towels are included. Also a few coffees the day (Nespresso, enjoy). My hair dryer too. ;)) If you need anything else I will try to provide it, please don't hesitate to ask.
Tidy and rather quiet people are in the right place with me. What doesn't mean I'm not up for a chat.
See you soon in Bern. You are welcome to stay with us and we are looking forward to having you! Any questions? Please don't hesitate to drop me a (website hidden): We don't provide breakfast. Please check 'amenities' for more information. By the way: We don't have a microwave. ;)
The closest bus stopp is Bierhübeli, less than 5 minutes away. The walk from the railway station is about 10 minutes.
- take your shoes off in the flat
- don't be noisy after 9 pm (have to get up very early)
- be reasonable and treat all my things nicely.
- no other people in the flat without checking with us first
- no smoking
... and tell me, if there is something not ok, please.
Ich war wiederholt sehr zufrieden mit dem Zimmer bei Corinne und Krist. Die Lage ist super, die Ausstattung gut, die Gastgeber freundlich. Was will man mehr?
Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt bei Corinne und Krist. Die Wohnung ist super gelegen und gemütlich. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen. Die Kommunikation hat super geklappt und war sehr unkompliziert.
The place is good, it's very near Bern station.
Corinne & Krist are very friendly, and willing to help me.
The room is clean and warm. When I lived in the room, they never come into the room. I can use almost everything in the kitchen and bathroom. The coffee is great!!!
Hope to visit them again!!
Hoffentlich a bientot, liebe Corinne und lieber Krist!
Corinne and Krist are wonderful, helpful and friendly people. They treated me just like a good friend. They answered my many questions about Bern, travel locations and so much more. My stay was great, it was very clean, very quiet and came as advertised. The location is excellent. Ten minute walk to the train or two minutes to the bus. I recommend staying here when visiting Bern.
Everything was very nice & very uncomplicated.
Nice little room with a comfortable bed & a work desk.
Highly recommended. Corinne and Krist are very nice folks and the room is spacious and quiet. For a short to medium stay at Bern, this is the very best choice one can make.
How to describe myself?
At home I am: quiet, like reading, watching TV. When I'm out (what I love): communicative, having the odd drink. Basically, I am a reasonable person, but fun also...
I live together with my husband Krist. Usually, we get up very early, that is about 5 am. We are as quiet as possible, to let you sleep as long you desire. ;))
I consider myself as an active person and I love to get to know new people. And I love travelling and exploring new countries and cities.
I speak German (my mothertongue), quite good English, a bit of French and I understand a little bit of Italian and Dutch (which I meanwhile speak a little too).
