Filled with modern amenities, our private apartment is in a quiet leafy street. It comfortably fits two & is centrally located close to the Airport & Melbourne's CBD. Enjoy a modern kitchen, comfy bed, hot shower & yummy breakfast supplies daily!
It isn't often you can find a space that not only gives you complete privacy, but also has that home away from home feel about it.
Our location is everything. We are situated a short walk up to Union Road which has a variety of cool cafés, shops, restaurants, newsagent and above all a supermarket / green grocers and a fabulous butcher. Although only 20 minutes (by car and train - slightly longer on the tram line) from Melbourne's CBD, it really has a 'village' feel to it.
Guests will have their own keys to come and go as they please. Access is via our side gate, which importantly must be kept shut at all times as we have 2 large dogs, and 3 children!
I work from home so am often in and out throughout the day. This also allows for flexible check ins / check outs so please let me know and I will be more than happy to try and work around your arrival / departure times.
Whilst the apartment is completely private and at the bottom of the garden, there will be children / dogs playing in the garden, but we assume most people will either be out exploring what Melbourne has to offer (and we can assist you here too), or hard at work in the office during the day!
Ascot Vale is a leafy suburb of Melbourne and has a distinct village feel. There are public amenities all within a short walking distance - gym, full leisure centre, churches, library, DVD store, laundrette, park, river walks. We are also 5 minutes by car (or again a short tram trip) up to Highpoint Shopping Centre which has all the high street stores in it (Zara, Myer, David Jones, Hoyts Cinemas, and loads more…).
Our house is located at the bottom of a hill that takes you up to the train station (approx 10 minute walk). From there is it merely 4 stops into the CBD. Alternatively, if you don't fancy the hike up the hill, there is a tram route that can take you into the CBD. It tends to take the scenic route and I would allow 45 minutes.
The Airport is accessible easily by car (20 minutes) or taxi (fares are approximately $40 depending on time of day). If you are driving, I will provide you with easy directions to get you here! There is street parking available.
I will provide you with generous breakfast supplies for your stay, so please advise me in advance of any dietaries to ensure you are able to enjoy this fully!
We also have cable wi-fi connection running into the apartment, which makes for complete connectivity whilst staying with us!
In case you need a Dr while staying with us, we fall in the right area to take advantage of the National Home Doctor Service. A Doctor can come and visit you free of charge (for medicare card holders), or for a minimal fee for those travelling with no medicare card.
We have a strict no smoking policy, even in our garden (the smell travels regardless). We don't allow pets to stay, and are willing to let 2 people maximum stay at any one time. Other than that, we are pretty easy going, but expect people to respect that this is our family home.
This was our second stay at Corrie's apartment and it was as relaxing and enjoyable as the first. This apartment is very comfortable, modern and complete with everything you might need. Corrie is accommodating and easy to communicate with. It's a great area with Union road a short stroll away. We highly recommend this apartment. I'm sure we'll be back!

Your apartment is modern, clean and very comfortable and located in a nice neighbourhood, close to a shopping street and public transport. Your dogs are really friendly and love to be patted. Thank you for letting us check out late; we will definitely come back if we need to be in Melbourne again!
Loved staying at Corrie's granny flat. As it was Easter there were chocolate eggs on my pillow which was a favulous touch. The property was easily accessible by public transport and Corrie's dogs were adorable and friendly. The place was impeccable and perfectly equiped.
Lovely granny flat, very nice and quiet. We found a second home, there was everything we needed. Breakfast supplies were really appreciated. We were positively surprised of how peaceful that neighbourhood was. We'd definitely stay here again. Thank you Corrie & family!
