Quintessential 1950's Australian beach house.
This is a great space to share with family and friends. It is the perfect location to enjoy the spectacular surf coast - just 6.5 kilometres from the 12 Apostles, walk along the cliff tops on the Great Ocean Walk.
A big deck overlooking the Gellibrand River and Latrobe Creek or gas fire allows you to relax and unwind in all seasons. Alternatively go fishing, bird watching, explore ocean beaches, boating, enjoy Otways attractions.

The space
This house has wonderful deck with views across the wetlands connecting the Gelibrand River and Latrobe Creek.
Enjoy a BBQ on the deck, cook a meal to share with friends and family or stroll just a 100m to enjoy the various dining options at the Princetown Tavern. During holiday season the Princetown General Store also offer great coffee, cake and vegetarian / vegan options.

This is a comfortable renovated 1950s beach house - not an ultra modern space. It’s great for a group or families.

Please note we are currently creating landscaping to connect with a more modern tiny house space adjacent to this property. These works should not impact on your stay at all... and if you are after additional space or a more secluded, modern retreat for smaller number of people please see our 12 Apostles Tiny House listing.

This is a spectacular part of the world... http://www.visit12apostles.com.au/see-dotrails-lookouts/

We allow well behaved pets. The fenced yard area is shared with the adjacent Tiny House.

Guest access
You have the whole house to yourself with a large lawn area.

Other things to note
Please take care if arriving on dusk or at night. There is a lot of wildlife who may be on the roads.

Location

Princetown, Victoria, Australia

The big drawcard for Princetown is its proximity to the 12 Apostles, visitor centre... which can be walked to via the last leg of the Great Ocean Road Walk.
Princetown Beach is a spectacular part of Victoria's Coast line. This beautiful beach is accessed from the house by turning left and following the path across the wetlands boardwalk and then following the meandering Gelibrand River to where it enters the ocean along beautiful cliffs.
The beach is good for fishing but is not a swimming beach. The estuary of the river before it enters the surf is a safe and lovely swimming spot.
Venturing inland you can indulge on the gourmet food trail or explore the Otway Fly (suspended treetop walk). At night there are the glow worms at nearby Melba Gully to see... plus a vast array of birdlife - day and night.

We’ve just spent the last five years restoring some heritage listed old stone buildings in Yandoit. (Featured on episode 4 of Restoration Australia). Two are now listed on Airbnb. We love our place and are equally keen to stay with others who have something a bit unusual or special when we travel.
