Jaybird Treehouse Adventure | Lake of Egypt

Perched among an oak tree and two tall pines, Jaybird Treehouse is a whimsical and welcoming retreat at Lake of Egypt in Goreville, IL. Designed for fun, peace, and togetherness, this pet-friendly treetop getaway offers comfort, charm, and just the right amount of adventure. With deer wandering through the yard, sunsets lighting up the sky, and stars sparkling overhead at night, your stay here is nothing short of magical.

The space
aybird Treehouse is a true elevated stay built into an oak tree and framed by two tall pines. The main living area sits above ground, giving you that authentic treehouse feel while still offering the comforts of a small cabin.

The main level includes a cozy queen bedroom, full kitchen, living area, and bathroom. A trap door leads to the lower sleeping space with three twin beds — a fun and memorable setup that kids especially love. Because of the ladder-style access, guests should be comfortable with climbing up and down.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and the bathroom features a full shower with a distinctive rock river floor.

Outside, the large deck provides sunset views through the trees, and below the treehouse you’ll find a hammock and tire swing. Two firepit areas — one near the treehouse and one by the lake — offer space to gather in the evenings.

This space is ideal for guests who enjoy something different from a traditional cabin and don’t mind a bit of adventure built into their stay.

Guest access
Guests have full private access to the entire Jaybird Treehouse, including the elevated living space, deck, yard area, and firepit. You’re also welcome to use the lake deck, watercraft (canoe, kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboats), fishing poles, and dock slip during your stay.

We offer self check-in for your convenience, and free on-site parking is available.

Please note: No smoking inside the treehouse. We appreciate your help in keeping the space clean and comfortable for all guests.

If you need anything during your stay, we’re just a call or text away.
