Home from home in this lovely house in the friendly village of Sallelles d'aude. Modern facilities mixed with a large dose of rustic charm and beauty that Jilly has lovingly created and preserved. A great base to set out for the areas surrounding. Three teens kept actively engaged with beach and lake activities only a 30 to 40 minutes drive through wonderful views and villages. Lac de la Cavayère for water inflatable activity and Gruissan plage for water sports worth a view. A big thank you to Jilly for the communication and info too. Wonderful caring hostess....even from the other side of the globe. Hope to catch up sometime again.

We had a wonderfully relaxing week in Jilly's lovely house. The entire process has been easy and although we never met Jilly in person you could tell from the very beginning that she is a truly caring person. And this very much shows in the design and set up of her house. You see that she does live here pet if the year. It's very cosy and well kept. The kitchen is perfectly equipped (including an oyster knife! ;) and we spend some relaxing evenings in the comfortable living room. All in all a great experience and very recommendable! (Even during winter and over New Years!). The small village has a nice bakery, a good small grocery store and a bar. All in waking distance. And our girls (age 4 & 7) loved the many cats of the neighborhood. Thank you!

Although Jilly wasn't in France during our stay, she could not gave been more helpful in ensuring that everything ran smoothly and her neighbour was on hand to help had there been any problems (there weren't any!). The house was beautiful and spacious, very well equipped and in a lovely village on the canal. We had a fantastic stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend the house, and Jilly, wholeheartedly.

Jilly was very helpful and fast to respond. She wasn't there on arrival because she lives part time in Australia but she arranged Françoise, the neighbor to welcome us and give us an explaining tour. Everything went very smootlhy and Jilly even mailed back to check how we were doing. The house is as described on the ad, except it's a little bigger than the pictures makes you think, which is always good! Would definitely go back! Great host

The house of Jilly is so confortable and so beautiful. My family and me were enjoyed to stay 3 days last may. We have met Françoise (friend and contact of Jilly) who is a woman so kindly and so helpfull for us. I think we will rent again this house next months. Thanks very much Jilly, your house is a little heaven near Narbone.

We had a very pleasant stay at Jilly's house in Sallèles-d'Aude. Her house is spacious, clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed her cozy leather couch, her fully equipped, modern kitchen where you could easily prepare even more ambitious meals and the very nice walk-in rain shower in the bathroom. Sleeping was easy thanks to a good mattress and the quiet village nights. Jilly is a great host - she is very friendly, always available and very quick to respond. Having just left for Australia, she could not be there herself to greet us but she made sure we had everything we needed and a friend of hers who lives nearby came by to check on us, so we felt we were very well taken care of. The village of Sallèles d'Aude is quiet and charming in a genuine way. If you are looking for a lively spot with lots of restaurants and shops, Sallèles may not be your choice as it is not touristy at all - we actually enjoyed exactly that. It stretches along the "Canal de la Jonction" where you can take nice, long walks while watching the house boats float by and maneuver the lockings. The landscape surrounding the village is really beautiful and its position well suited for day trips to Carcassonne, Perpignan, Narbonne, Béziers and the vast beaches of Narbonne-Plage and Gruissan. We would recommend a stay anytime!
