The space

Chalet/Cabin in Cheshire - perfect for nature and animal lovers!

An ensuite chalet overlooking the Goyt valley in Cheshire. This cabin has all the comforts. It can accommodate 4 guests - suitable for groups or families. The chalet has one double bedroom with an en suite shower room and a large living room, which can accommodate a king-size inflatable bed .

We have a Barbie's cot as show on the pictures so all the little ones will enjoy their comfort as well

There's WiFi. We just installed a 45" smart TV with free view in the living room and 32" TV with DVD player in the bedroom , It is really well insulated and warmer than my house in winter! The chalet does not have a kitchen but there is a fridge-freezer, micro wave ,toaster and kettle. Guests are very welcome to use my kitchen. There is a utility room next to the chalet with a washing machine and dryer. The chalet also has a DAB radio , so you know that even if the weather is against you, there's still plenty to do!

The Chalet is located in the rolling hills of Cheshire, which is lush green in the summer and has plenty of snow in the winter. The chalet is set on 11 acres of land, which includes my house.

I originally built the chalet for my son to live in. He has since left home and just graduated from Oxford University. I didn't want it to sit empty, so I have made it available to Airbnb members.

There are 11 acres of land, full of a range of rare, pure breed poultry,
some already extinct, some not even on the internet. They include peacocks and peahens. If you are nature and animal lovers, this is the place for you!

Join me for a glass of red wine seeing the peacock dancing to attract his lady friends and on occasion watch the daring deer wandering round the garden.

Walking in Cheshire
One of the best ways to see this part of the world is on foot. We are located on the border of the famous Goyt Valley and the Roman Lakes. Although the Lakes might not have the strongest link to the Romans, it is still amazing to visit one of the most important sites of the Industrial Revolution in this part of the world. We are close to transport links for the rest of Derbyshire and the Peak District. We have plenty of National Trust parks, and our closest, Lyme Park is perhaps most famous for being the site of the 1990's television adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Located close to Marple village, which provided the title for Agatha Christie's famous series, Strines also has excellent transport links to the center of Manchester, Stockport . With regular trains and three nearby railway stations, it is just as easy to use our Chalet as a jumping point for a quiet city break as it is a country one! So whether you'd like to enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside or be close enough to enjoy everything Manchester has to offer, Strines is the place for you.

With the summer fast approaching we have just purchased a new BBQ which guests are more than welcome to use. We are also happy to accommodate anyone who would be interested in using the cabin and gardens as the site for photo shoots; all are welcome!

Please note, due to the winter months coming up, all guests that need to go out by foot please be advised to use our steps just in the front of the main house when walking up or down from the chalet rather than the driveway itself as it can become rather slippy!

Cheers and have a wonderful day!

Minh is very kind. The location is good, it only 10 minutes drive to one of the peak district park. The cabin is great and clean. The house has a beautiful garden with some lovely animals.

It was a very cute place to stay, it was a little challenging getting to the park we went there to see, but other than that it was fine.

Mihn was a great host. He made the place available to us despite is not knowing our exact arrival time. The place was clean and easy with everything we needed, and with a local pub just down the street and a grocery store 5 min away. The place was easy to find and has an exciting assortment of friendly animals around.

The chalet was perfect stay. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, but it's so perfect and wish we could have stayed longer! It was cozy! Minh also offered us a crib for our one year old so good for families! He was very hospitable! Definitely recommend staying!

Minh's Garden Chalet was perfectly lovely! After backpacking and staying in hostels all around the UK, what I really wanted was a relaxing couple of days in a cabin, surrounded by nature. This house was only a short walk away from the train station, but with gorgeous trees and fields all around- it felt like the middle of nowhere in absolutely the best way possible. I loved seeing the gorgeous peacocks strutting around, the curious chickens, and the local hobbits... wait no there weren't any hobbits. But I did feel like I was in the real-life Shire, and Gandalf might drop by at any time! Minh was such a friendly host, and made us feel right at home. I can't wait to visit again.

We stayed for one night in this garden chalet and it was really a wonderful start to our vacation! The chalet is very cosy indeed, well furnished and equipped with microwave, fridge, TV etc. We had a double bed and a big inflatable bed for the four of us and were very comfortable. The garden is beautiful, with many lovely flowers; a calm, peaceful haven, perfect as a retreat away from the city and a great place to unwind. There is a peacock and several other beautiful birds walking around freely on the property and the host also has a really friendly Alsatian, who gave us an enthusiastic welcome every time we walked through the gate. This place is wonderful for animal lovers :) There are nice pubs down the road from Minh's house where you can have a good meal and a supermarket not far away. Minh is a great host, very friendly and helpful. He replied swiftly to our initial request to book and communication was clear and informative all along. We got good advice on things to see and do in the region and spent a wonderful day at the nearby Lyme Park estate. We would certainly recommend Minh's cosy garden chalet and would love to come back if we are in the area!
