Why pay $$$$ for a hotel room, when you can enjoy a beautifully furnished, perfectly located home-away-from-home for your Big Apple Adventure for half the price? Steps from NYC's best restaurants, museums, theaters and parks! Impeccable reviews! :-)
Why pay SO much more for a tiny hotel room? My home can be yours!
It's perfectly located on Manhattan's UWS, just off Amsterdam Ave. on West 83rd Street. That means that you are a VERY short walk to the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Riverside Park, The Children's Museum of Manhattan, Cafe Lalo, and about 100 of NYC's finest restaurants! SUBWAYS are just a few blocks away, for easy access to Times Square and the whole city! Easy walk to Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and so, SO MUCH MORE!!!
Two sunny bedrooms, with a queen-sized bed and three twin beds, comfortable living area, eat-in kitchen, one full bathroom, front hallway, and all the appliances and internet you could need! Air conditioning in every room; cozy in the winter. It's on the fourth floor, so lots of sun and fresh air! No elevator in my small, quiet building, but all is very safe behind double-secure front doors!
The apartment could sleep up to five, and even more on the cushy sofa, but I'd prefer to keep it to one couple or a small family.
Payment must be arranged in advance. A security deposit will be necessary to hold the apartment for you, and will be returned to you upon check-out. I've done this many times before, and have many happy "friends" from all over (NYC, Salt Lake City, France, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa, Argentina, etc.), who either stay here themselves or bring in family to visit for a wedding or the holidays.
This apartment is an easy, hassle-free, luxurious, ideal place to launch a terrific NYC Adventure!
Enjoy the best NYC has to offer!
PS - Discounts may be possible, especially for extended stays.
While staying at my home, my guests enjoy the use of everything in the apartment! Of course, my address is perfectly located to give access to everything this great city has to offer, by foot, subway, bus, taxi...and bicycle rentals (right around the corner!).
Interaction with Guests
I love to to greet my guests upon arrival, and bid them a fond farewell at check-out. I'm always available to offer guidance or assistance during their stay, but many folks know know exactly where they want to go, and what they want to do, and I only hear from them when they contact me to make reservations again for next year!
As you must read in my many amazing reviews, my neighborhood is just perfect for families, young couples, retirees, and business travelers, with countless amazing and diverse restaurants and pubs; US Post Office, rental car agencies, office supply, and gift shops; movie theaters, concert halls, and Broadway/42nd Street; the world-renowned Central Park and Riverside Park for breathtaking views of the city; gourmet delis, supermarkets, and pharmacies, laundromats; short walk to Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim and "Museum Mile"; every convenience and service you could ever need!
My doorstep is just a couple blocks from the subways at Broadway (1/2/3), and Central Park West (A/C/E). Buses run a half block away on Broadway and on Amsterdam Ave. The streets are busy with taxis 24 hours a day! I am happy to recommend shuttle and limo services that will drop you off or pick you up at my door for you trips to/from the airport. :-)
Other Things to Note
I work very hard to maintain a comfortable, clean, and welcoming home for my guests, who travel from all over the world to explore and enjoy New York City! I invite you to read through the 100+ positive and fond comments submitted by my previous guests - many of whom I now count among my friends!
NO SMOKING, pets, or loud parties (unless arranged in advance, and I'm invited!). This is a quiet, clean, small, and very safe building, inhabited by families and young professionals. I count on my guests showing the same consideration, respect, and discretion as they would in their own homes. I am very pleased to say that most of my marvelous guests leave my home as neat and spotless as they found it! I love to write loving reviews of my new-found friends!
William was the perfect host...he responded to all of our questions promptly and was great at providing advice for our family vacation. The location is great. We felt like for those 4 days we were truly living in NYC...we could walk to some great restaurants, hop on the subway or just relax in the evening with a glass and wine overlooking the hustle and bustle that NYC is. There was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Shower worked great. Apartment was clean. Towels and linens were nice. Rachel -Williams assistant -was sweet and we really appreciated her help with storing our bags on departure day.
Wow....wow...wow! From the minute I made contact with William to enquire about staying at this property, the whole experience was a breeze. William responded promptly and the booking was no hassle at all. I had many questions and William was more than helpful with tips and advice on our journey to, from and during our New York stay. I felt confident and trusted that all would be great and it was. My family and I loved William's property. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We would love to stay there again. We felt very at home, safe and were able to walk very easily to popular destinations and the subway.
Restaurants and convenience stores were close at hand too. Loved, loved loved it!
William responded to our reservation request within an hour! That set the tone, and from then on the communication was excellent. William seemed willing to answer just about any question we had and we were able to get some real local insight on the availability of great bagels in the neighborhood. Once we arrived in NYC, we were able to check in effortlessly via William's assistant Rachel (who was very nice by the way!). The apartment itself is spacious (by NY standard) and exactly what we were looking for traveling with my teen son. Pictures are accurate, and it is a nicely done unit. Everyone had a space of their own, but there was ample common area for us to get together as well. The apartment was impeccably clean and well appointed. There is nothing we needed that wasn't easily at hand. The shower was awesome. The beds were comfortable, (although no one got on the top bunks.) The kitchen had a hot water kettle. Fantastic! No real noise issues. There are several excellent restaurants just steps from the front door! Less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station so getting around town is no problem! William even help to arrange a service to watch our bags after we checked out, but before we left the city! Top Shelf!! We will happily stay with William again when we travel to NYC!
William was excellent. We did not actually meet him, however, he was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The apartment itself was very comfortable and in a great location.
William was great communicating with me the whole time. I did not get to meet him, but he made sure there was someone there for us. The apartment is great, bigger than I expected and very clean. The sheets and towels in good condition and apartment was not loud. I was there with a couple of friends and everything was smooth and we had a lot of fun and relaxed. I want to come back and bring my husband and daughters as the area is great and the place is suitable for families. Great place! awesome experience.
William was terrific, extremely welcoming and helpful, I will be returning on future vists without question. His apartment was just what we needed, wonderful location, great amenities. The stairs contributed to my daily fitness regime! For out of owners we'd recommend Artie's Deli just around the corner, great NY deli experience.
This is a great apartment in a really good location. We felt welcome and relaxed. It is convenient to the two major subway lines you need to go anywhere and a pleasant walk across Central Park to the museums. It is ideal for a family of four or five with two separate bedrooms which is hard to find. I loved shopping for salmon and bagels at Barney Greengrass and there are lots of great restaurants nearby. Thanks William.
