This is an ideally located 2 bedroom suite with 1 extra sleeping mats. We are on bus route to Downtown Vancouver that goes by Kitsilano and Granville Island. If you have a car there is lots of free parking on the street. The unit has a large screen TV, DVD player, wireless internet, full bathroom, kitchen, living room, back garden entrance. We are located 5 blocks to the beach, 25 minute walk to the University of British Columbia, 4 blocks to the West Point Grey shopping area. We have free tennis courts and a beautiful park, with a view of downtown Vancouver, one block away. A few blocks west is the University Golf Club, a public golf course and restaurant.
The neighbourhood is quiet, and very safe. There are views of the city all around. We are close to Pacific Spirit Park with bike and hiking trails. Our neighbourhood beaches are Jericho, Locarno, and Spanish Banks. The University of British Columbia has numerous attractions including the Museum of Anthropology, the Beaty Biodiversity Centre, The Belkin Art Gallery, The Botanical Gardens, the Nitobi Gardens, Wreck Beach, and many others.
Our place is private and self contained. You have your own entrance off the lane, and can come and go as you please. Please note that we live above the unit, so there may be noise occasionally from us. We try to be quiet, but if you like absolute quiet, our place may not be for you.

Tina was a wonderful hostess from our first contact point. Her directions were clear and key to the suite was readily accessible. It is in a great location, right off of the main road just before the university grounds and surrounded by great little shops and restaurants/cafes. She even had the fridge stocked with some basics which was really appreciated. the suite was surprisingly quiet, on a side street and even though she lives above the suite, I never heard a peep. although this suite has its own little patio, she welcomed me to use the upper one, with lots of sunshine. Great little spot!
Tina's place is great for a stay in Vancouver. Located near the popular neighborhood of Kitsilano.
I was a local who wanted to rent a place since my dad was coming to visit - we were very comfortable here with a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms. There was a nice electric heater as well as a large television. The place is equipped with plenty of extra blankets, towels, etc. - very cozy.
The place is not in a very convenient walking location, if you walk 5 blocks uphill you arrive at a bigger avenue that has some nice restaurants, groceries, banks, other bus lines, etc. (but that area only extends about 2 blocks). However, going either 1-2 blocks up or downhill from the house, you can catch 2 different express buses to get around quickly, as well as another slower bus to stay within the area. You can get downtown in 25 mins. Be prepared to utilize Vancouver's great public transit system to get to more interesting parts of town. The neighborhood, however, is gorgeous, you will get a real feel for Vancouver living (a very suburban area still within the main city area, beautiful gardens) - and you are so close to a great park on the beach, with nice views of the city and mountains!
Tina was flexible about my check-in time since there was no guest before me, and she was even kind and gracious when I showed up a little too early! She was also easy to stay in touch with before and after the stay, and responded to all messages quickly. We didn't interact with her during our stay, so even though the family lives upstairs you will have complete privacy. Nice garden outside too!
This is a great location with a friendly owner. We had a great stay there
My daughter and I had a very nice stay with Tina. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet and the suite had everything we needed. We look forward to returning to this lovely location.
Tina did a great job of communicating in email up front. And Graham checked in with us once we had had a little time to settle. The place was great for our family. The separate rooms gave us all some privacy. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for our dinner preparations and enjoyment. The separate entrance meant we didn't have to worry about disturbing their family when we came back late from an evening of contra dancing. The artwork in the space was all Graham's. It was all good, fun work. We all enjoyed spending time exploring it. It was like visiting a gallery. This place will definitely be on our stay again list if it is available when we visit Vancouver. Thanks aging for sharing your space.
I had a lovely stay while I was visiting UBC for work in Vancouver for three weeks. Would have no hesitation in coming back. The apartment is in a fabulous location and spacious enough not to feel closed in. Its bright and colorful and relatively well equipped. Could have had a better heater as I stayed at the end of winter and was a little cold. Although as soon as I said something Tina provided another heater and extra blankets. Tina is great- happy to help if i needed anything but respectful of privacy. Overall a terrific place to stay.
This is my second experience at Tina's place. I was very comfortable the first time and hence chose it again. Tina and Graham are very friendly and helpful hosts. The apartment is ideal for families and is very private. Would recommend it any day.
Tina's place is clean and home like. We enjoyed staying there and it was a good fit for our purposes in Vancouver.
This is a lovely apartment in a great location with a warm and responsive host. I have stayed here twice now and have booked a third time! It has a very nice feel, everything you need, a great shower (!), wifi, and Tina is very accessible and easy to work with. A great find.
Tina was a thoughtful, helpful and caring host, from the moment we had contact via (website hidden) our arrival she brought us milk for coffee and provided extra comforters,in case we needed them. She also provided us with useful information about close-by restaurants and stores.
We loved the close proximity to buses and the ease with which we were able to get around!
The view of the bay and the snow capped mountains(which we were fortunate to see) were spectacular!
The studio feels warm, cozy and welcoming with the colorful art throughout and the beds were very comfortable as well!
Having a kitchen enabled us to enjoy breakfasts, snacks and even a couple of dinners, without having to go out for meals all the time.
At times we might have enjoyed a bit more quiet(particularly in the morning),however Tina states very honestly in her introduction that this might not be a space for someone who looks for a completely quiet place.
I recommend this place and would stay there again!
