Paulina's apartment is an excellent place to stay when visiting Mexico City for the first time. The location is great for a number of reasons: 1) only a block from Alameda Central and the park with the Palacio de Bellas Artes 2) only a 5-10 minute walk to the Zocalo and Centro Historico 3) centrally located makes it easy to get a cab or Uber to check out other neighborhoods; and without traffic only took about 20 minutes to get to the airport! 4) there are a number of great eateries that are close by (both nicer dining and street food :) ) 5) close to multiple public transport stops - metro, bus, or 'trolley' 6) close to a Turibus stop too! The apartment was exactly what we needed for a jumping off point for exploring Mexico City. The two bedrooms were nicely sized for our family of four. Having the full kitchen helped so that we could have light breakfast before starting our day. There is a small grocery store/mini mart and a panederia about half a block away. After late lunches, we found it nice to go back to the apartment and relax by the pool (although you must wear a swim cap, which you can purchase from the store within the building). Another nice convenience was the lavenderia within the apartment building so that we could have a load of laundry done. Lastly, the hosts were very easy to contact. Gabriella, who helps Paulina, was fantastic especially since our flight was delayed causing us to check-in around 3AM. She was easy to contact during the week and made our stay most welcome. We would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends who plan on visiting CDMX and would definitely stay there again ourselves.

We stayed in Mexico City for a week during Spring Break and Paulina's place was perfect for us. The beds and the couches were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessities. The bedrooms had plenty of storage space, and though we were close the heart of the city, impressively quiet. I even slept with the window open. The location made it easy to walk around, with quick access to the Historic Center as well as to Chapultepec Forest and Roma/Condesa. The security guard and the secure entrance were also nice features. Great place for a comfortable launching pad for your Mexico City vacation!

Paulina's place was perfect! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a great kitchen space. The apartment is perfectly located right in the middle of the historic district, a half block from the park. Security guards man each entrance. I can highly recommend Paulina's apartment for visitors to Mexico City!

We were here 11 days. Pros - Location is GREAT. Very close walking distance to many major sights and restaurants. The Centro Historico is crowded and grubby compared to other neighborhoods like Roma, Condesa and Polanco but these others are farther from major locations. The apartment being on Almeda Park helped with a feeling of respite in a crowded area. - Nice building amenities such as a small grocery store and laundry service. The apartment has no washer dryer or dishwasher. Not a problem for us. - The weather is gorgeous and no rain so come this time of year. Bring a light jacket for very mildly chilly temperatures in the early morning and evening. - I came with only one other person but there really is enough room for two couples. Not huge but adequate. Neutral - The lighting isn't great for reading. Bring attach-to- book reading light. - The sheets in the second bedroom could have been nicer. The towels could have been of better quality. - It would have have been nice to have on the instruction list where small grocery stores and nearby markets are. - We found the best transportation to be Uber which Lonely Planet lauded for safety and a good price. Beware of street cabs. Metro was convenient to apartment and cheap. Don't take during rush hour as too crowded. Even Uber and taxis at rush hour and fringe rush hour moves slowly. This isn't an easy city to get around in except by foot which makes this apartment location so extra great. - There was a strong unpleasant cleaning fluid odor, possibly bleach, coming from the bathrooms. I had to air them out for three or four days before it went away. Cons - I have stayed in many Airbnb apartments. I read all the reviews carefully because I am looking for quiet. Time and again everyone said how quiet this unit is. Right before we left for MC, I noticed a recent review saying that it was quiet as far as street noise is concerned but not for noise inside the building. How true! I could hear the man next door sneeze as well as his phone conversations and music which he played softly and noise from other units as well. The walls are paper thin. So beware if you are noise sensitive. - The second bedroom is badly badly badly in need of paint. - A small thing. Drinking water in Mexico has to be bottled. Water usually come in huge heavy heavy jugs which swing from a holder to pour as they are too heavy to lift. The apartment had the bottle but no swinger so you couldn't lift the bottle without a huge effort. It would have been nice to have the swinger or just buy your own water in smaller jugs at the Oxxo down the street.
