What a cozy place! Highly recommended. Fully equipped kitchen and the luxury of a washer and dryer! The den was very warm and clean, and Dennis was a responsive, friendly host.
Dennis and his wife were perfectly welcoming and fine with waiting for our late arrival! The Bear's Den was the perfect cozy home away from home. My partner and I played house and enjoyed the simple life in this perfect retreat. If I lived in Arkansas I would be happy to live in the Bear's Den! 100% perfect stay. Thanks Dennis for the homemade jelly! I hope you didn't mind us lovebirds staying to ourselves and not socializing as much as we could. We were just so happy together at your AirBNB! Thank you!!
As in the Goldilocks story we found the Bear's Den to be just right for us. The bed was comfortable, we had space and privacy and great hosts who were welcoming, generous, and attentive to our needs. We appreciated the cleanliness and the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home.
All in all much better than an impersonal hotel. Thank you Linda and Dennis.
The Bear's Den was a last minute booking for us on our road trip from Tennessee back home to Houston. Dennis and Linda were accommodating. We arrived late in the day, so they gave us a quick tour and instructions and allowed us to get cleaned up and to bed. In the morning they sent us on our way with a smile and a "drive safely!".
The property is nice, and the loft is clean and roomy. The bathroom had a warm shower with fresh towels and toiletries. We enjoyed the satellite TV and comfortable bed. Thanks to the Jelly Man and his lovely wife!
Our host Dennis was a person who was generous in so many ways. My wife and our GSD Nikki arrived into Little Rock during a #floodwatch. Dennis gave us an umbrella and a tour of the loft without once showing any worry over the mess we might make. he was quick to point out where Nikki could run and relieve herself. When Nikki and I went to use the area we met Wile O Coyote. Nikki and Wile romped through the Muscadine vineyard(Dennis will define Muscadine). When we left the next morning Dennis gave us some jelly . yum! Dennis not only served our country by flying helicopters he is still serving his country , with his wife Linda by creating ''The Bear's Den'' a great port in a Arkansas storm:-)
I am a retired Army Aviator and a volunteer with Win Rock International in the farmer to Farmer program teaching fruit preservation. I have traveled internationally teaching methods of small batch jelly making. I learned to make jelly from my mother when she quit cooking for me. While cooking I listen to Andrea Bocelli . Domingo, Pavoratti, Dean Martin and Johnny Cash and on occasion Janis.
I eat homemade ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie every day and talk to the animals.
I have dog named Wile E Coyote and a cat named Meep Meep.
I like Mark Twain, Van Gogh and thunder storms.
I'm trying to learn the Spanish language.
