About This Listing
My quiet Boerum Hill apartment is always sunny and furnished with all of the essentials! Come stay with me and explore beautiful Brooklyn.
My Boerum Hill apartment can be your home away from home while you're on vacation (or business). I love to cook so the kitchen is always fully stocked and you will have access to any basics you need. That being said, I'm not much of a homebody so you can enjoy the apartment and some peace and quiet without my company much of the time.
You will be sharing the apartment with my 9lb pekingese so best for guests to be dog friendly!
I am very easy going and enjoy all types of guests, so please feel free to inquire with me for additional details or any special requests.
This listing is for one bedroom in my two bedroom apartment (I occupy the other). I don't keep a television in the house, but I have wireless internet and am happy to supply you with a netflix password ;)
I supply all linens, shampoo and misc incidentals so no need to pack! I'm also fine for guests to use any spices/grains/oils/condiments that I have in the kitchen and of course am perfectly ok with you choosing to cook at home.
Laundry is not in the building if needed, however there is a laundromat just on the corner and a dry cleaner 3 blocks away.
Interaction with Guests
I will be living in the room next door so we will cross paths, but feel no need to develop a personal relationship that's any more than cordial. I will respect your space.
Boerum Hill is a beautiful old neighborhood with big brownstones, young families and an artistic flair. Neighboring Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill have great restaurants and an exciting nightlife in the summers. The newly built Barclays Center (home of the Brooklyn Nets) is a great option for sports games or concerts. I'm also located just a short walk from both Prospect Park and Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn botanical gardens, Brooklyn Museum, a great Saturday farmers market, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and one of the best antiquing strips in NYC on Atlantic avenue.
For those who are more adventurous, I'm happy to share my favorite food, drink & play spots all over Brooklyn and Manhattan with you.
Atlantic Terminal B,D,N,Q,R,2,3,4,5 trains (5 blocks from apt)
Bergen St F,G (3 blocks from apt)
Hoyt Schermerhorn A,C,G (6 blocks from apt)
Nevins St 2,3,4,5 (8 blocks from apt)
Also near LIRR if you want a nice beach day!
Walking 3 blocks over to Smith St or 3 blocks up to Atlantic avenue will put you at a great place to hail a Taxi, and I'm quite close to both the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan bridge so cabs are quick into the city.
No smoking inside, use coasters on wood surfaces.
I had a wonderful stay in Annie's apartment and thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to experience Brooklyn. Ideally located, it is a short walk to Smith/Court Street shopping precincts as well as close to 5th/6th Ave shopping in the opposite direction. Fort Greene is also within walking distance as well as many other attractions Brooklyn has to offer.
The living room IS beautifully sunlit during the day and is a pleasant area to quietly sit on the comfy couch and read after trekking around. The bookshelf contains some interesting reading material.
The kitchen has professional quality utensils/knives if you are inclined to cook. Good quality towels are provided and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. The bedroom is located off the kitchen and has a pleasant outlook.
There is plenty of shelving/hanging space in the bedroom. The bed is a futon style arrangement which I found quite comfortable.
I only got to spend a short time with Annie as she does work long hours; but she is a lovely, pleasant person to chat to. Annie also makes an excellent Olive tapenade!
Use the coasters on her timber furniture, keep the place tidy, respect her possessions and you will get on famously with her!
Annie was great. She was working long hours during my stay, so I didn't see her much and getting the keys was a little tricky, but she made it work and overall it was easy and the apartment was clean and came as described. It's in a great location in beautiful Boerum Hill, to boot!
Very nice apartment, just like the we thought it would from looking at the pictures. Annie, the host, was really nice and she provided us with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The apartment is close to everything you need, from subway stations to grocery stores. Would definetly stay with Annie in her apartment again!

About the Host, Annie
Hi, I'm Annie! I am in my mid twenties, have lived in NYC for five years (by way of San Francisco, grew up in Connecticut), and share my apartment with my small, cute Pekingese. I work in the fashion industry, enjoy reading history and mythology, am happy to chat with strangers and try to cook as much as I can.
If you don't pee on the seat and always use a coaster, we will get along great!
